This step concerns your character's relationships, school/career, and housing. Pretty straightforward.

Where your character abides depends mostly on his/her age, of course. After 20, your character is most likely moved out. He/she is will still be at home (usually) if he/she is younger than 18.

Relationship status is also influenced by age. You generally won't find a 16 year old bride, (unless your book is set in a country that allows child marriages). Just use common sense.

Then there's a career to consider. Is your character even old enough to have a career? Or is he/she still in school? If your character doesn't already have a career, what are his/her career plans? When choosing a career, be sure to pick something that fits their personality. Also, consider how their values, fears, and desires might affect their career choice. If your character is motivated to help other, nursing might be a good fit. However, if your character can't stand the sight of blood, nursing is definitely not a good idea.
