The next thing is to give your character some quirks. Quirks make your character realistic. Here are a few examples of quirks:
Never gives back borrowed items
Always has gum
Likes/detests a certain color, food, etc
Has a certain word or phrase they use often (such as "hey now" "cool" and "look here")
[My character never wears pink, and she is attracted to pretty things, especially things that sparkle or shine, like jewelry]
