A Gabilla Love Story

Chapter 3

For the next two weeks Gorilla avoided Gabrielle. They had no conversations, every interaction was kept to the bare minimum and Gorilla stayed as far away from Gabrielle as possible, even resorting to faking an illness to gain a few days off work!

At first Gabrielle was confused as to why he was receiving a sudden cold shoulder, but then it was always came flooding back. Why did he have to be so stupid? What was wrong with him? Why did he have to ruin everything in his life?

He tried to reach out to Gorilla but nothing worked, Gorilla continued to give him the cold shoulder. Gabrielle didn't know how to cope, he didn't know what to do! He was starting to fall apart.

Gabrielle wasn't coping any better. 

Every time they made eye contact, it felt like someone was stabbing him in the chest. Every time Gorilla saw Gabrielle his arms longed to reach over and cuddle him but he couldn't. Gabrielle didn't feel the same as he did. And Gorilla just had to accept that. No matter how hard it may be.

It was midday when Gorilla received a text message from Gabrielle. He considered ignoring it and continuing with his day, but curiosity got the better of him.

Meet me in my office in 5 minutes. I have something important I need to discuss with you.

What could Gabrielle be talking about? Did he know how Gorilla felt? Gorilla felt more and more anxious as he reached for the door handle. 

He took a deep breath and pulled the door open before stepping into the office.
