Is It Over or Starting Over? - Yang Jeongin (Pt 1)

You and Jeongin have been the closest friend. You both met during your high school year and did everything together. You couldn't remember how you both become inseparable but you know that he's been there for you. He had help you a lot of things in life especially making your life more colorful. You use to be alone and stranger to other but ever since Jeongin came into your life, everything change about you. You become more cheerful and more open towards people.

But it all change when you both got into college. During the first year of college you two got into a relationship. He confess his love to you and without any doubt you accepted him. You have always see him to be in your future because you can see how your life will be with him. He always make you smile and always cheer you up when you're down. You never wanted anything to change that kind of relationship with him.

Until one day, you notice something have change in him. Jeongin never once ignored you when you talk nor ignore your text. He have always have time for you and so were you for him. You notice how much he spend time with his friends rather than you. You were never the type to hold him back of what he want to do with his life but you can sense that something feel off about him.

The other night, you were so stressful of your assignment and miss Jeongin because you haven't seen him for weeks now. So you texted him but there was no reply. You tried calling him and still no reply. You bite your lower lip, trying to not think of bad things that might had happened to him.  You were just about to lay down on your bed when suddenly your room door burst open by someone.

"Y/n!!!!" Your older sister, Somi shouted out your name.
"What is it Eonni?" You roll your eyes at her.
"Let's go out" She said, standing in front of you.
"I don't want to...I don't have the mood to go out right now" you whine but she pulled you up from your bed.
"Come on!!! Eomma won't let me go unless I bring you along with me" she said, struggling to pull you up.
"Ahhhhhh!!!!! I don't want to!!" You whine as you try your best to make her give up.

Eventually you did ended up following Somi to the mall. The reason she wanted to go out is because there will be an offer of her favorite designer shop. On the other hand, you just weren't feeling yourself for the last few weeks. You even got a text message from Jeongin that's he's busy and couldn't talk to you. That made you to feel more sad but you try to think positively that he is also busy with college life.

"Eonni, I'm going to wait you here...I hate standing in a long queue" you said and she gave you an approval nod.

You went out from the shop and walk around, thinking that it might help you to ease your uneasy feelings when suddenly you saw a very familiar figure coming down from the escalator. You squat your eyes to focus to the figure only to be surprise who it is.

"Jeongin" you softly said his name.

You couldn't believe your eyes that he's actually lied to you that he wasn't busy as he told you. Instead he is hanging out with his group of friends. You ended up hide yourself not wanting to go to him because you don't want to cause a scene. Your rage was boiling but you calm yourself down thinking that he might have a reason to be there.

You tried calling him instead. You saw him picking up his phone and saw the look on his face. He look somehow annoyed knowing that it was you who were calling him. You saw his friends asking him what's wrong and he put away his phone telling his friend not to worry a thing. You were disappointed at his action at the moment, you didn't know how to react to it and just went to Somi.

-Time skip-
Your depression was getting the best of you. Your friend notice how you lifeless you look. You rarely eat and sleep due to your thought of Jeongin. Ever since that day, he rarely call you and reply back your text and when you asked him for a mini date or a meet up he will always use the exact excuse and that is he's busy. You try to tell yourself that he must have a reason behind all this and that he may be stressing about college but you just couldn't help thinking why he's avoiding you.

You ask your friend to ask him about you but all their answer are all the same that he will avoid or change topic when it's came about you. You will always burst into tears when you heard those answers. You just couldn't help being sad that he's acting such way to you when you clearly need him beside you. You need his support because your mind was all of the mind and your grade was failing.

You tried calling him again to know whether his free but he never once pick up your call. You ended up asking your mutual friend to call him and he pick it up. You asked your friend to tell him to meet at the college pond in the evening and he agreed. You were disappointed that he didn't pick up your calls and instead he pick up others?

-time skip-
You waited for him to arrived and you saw him walking towards you. You quickly pull him towards you and made him stand infront you. You could sense the tension in his eyes on you, you couldn't feel the love in his eyes anymore. It was more towards annoy and hatred indicating to you.

"Why have you been avoiding me?" You ask and he stayed quiet.
"Jeongin, answer me. Why are you avoiding me?" You ask once again and he let out a annoyed sigh.
"I'm tired of it y/n" he roll his eyes at you.
"Tired...what do you mean?" You ask him in clueless.
"I'm tired of this...I'm tired of your stupidest behavior. I'm tired of pampering you. I'm tired of you making the exact mistake over and over. You lost my trust for you ever since that day you did a huge mistake for our group assignment" he state that broke your heart into pieces.
"I said I was sorry about it and that was months ago. I did my best to make a deal with Professor Bang and he agreed to give us a second chance and we finished it greatly. I'm sorry that I'm making you feel tired" you apologize and that made him more annoy.
"You always say sorry whenever you did something wrong. Sorry won't always cut it y/n. I'm tired of hearing you repeatedly say that!" He angrily throw his hands up.
"I'm trying my best ok?! I'm trying to improve myself. I know I'm not perfect but I can do my best when I have your support" you sadly smile.
"I can't always be there for you y/n. I'm getting busy with my assignment and there is also other things I have to do other than thinking of you 24/7. I also got a life of my own. You are not my priority, I have other things to think of" he state that made you frown.
"I know that. I clearly understand but I just need your support Innie. You are all I got, there is no one I can depend on" you said, tugging on his sleeve.
"I'm tired of it y/n. I have so many on my shoulder right now. I have my own goals and all you can think is unreasonable things." He pull his sleeves off your grip.
"Unreasonable things?" You whisper, trying to hold in your tears after hearing that.
"I need to go. Bye" he said but you stop him but hugging him from behind.
"Innie..please stay with me for awhile. I miss you so much" you said but he slowly unwrap your arms around his waist.
"I'm busy y/n. I can't be with you right now. Bye" he said, leaving you there all heartbroken as he left you without feeling any guilt.

Ever since that day, whenever you and him past each other he will act as if he doesn't know you. You tried to greet him once but he only stare at you then look away and continued talking with his friends. You couldn't express how heartbroken you were when he act such way to you. Even your friends try ask Jeongin about you but he said he doesn't know you and told them that they are just hallucinating. Right from there, you know that it was over between you and Jeongin. You couldn't help but to accept the fact that he have throw you out from his life.
