"I was there for you in your darkest times" I argued referring to his hulk experiment and how I stayed through the tears, sweat and even some blood. "I was there for you in your darkest nights" I continued raising my voice a little.
"But I wonder where were you when I was at my worst down on my knees" I said quietly now barely above a whisper. Bruce walked over to me pulling me into his arms despite my protests.
My knees went weak as I fell into his embrace he ran his hands through my hair soothingly. I buried my face into his chest enjoying being in his arms for the time being.
