George's POV:
It was already morning. I could clearly see it with the light that came from the window, and as always, I started my daily routine around 8:30 . I already knew that today was going to be a busy day, so I didn't have anytime to lose. After changing my clothes to something more properly, I went downstairs to the dining room. It was a big room with a table and some chairs around it. The tablecloth and some vases on it made it look not so empty.
There was no one in the room, and almost in the whole house, except, of course, for the chef. Anyway, I wasn't hungry at all so I wasn't planning on eating much.
-Make a cup of tea.-
-Only that?-
-How does he dare to talk to me like that?-
I though to myself
-Excuse you?-
My answer seemed to have scared him, so I tried to calm down a bit. In fact, he wasn't used to talking to us due to my father, and perhaps he wasn't trying to be rude, he just was looking after me.
-Ok then, add it a few biscuits.-
The chef nodded and he went to prepare my breakfast, meanwhile, I took some time to observe the vases on the table, even if I already knew the pattern by heart.
It was a normal habit being alone in the mansion, after all, my father was one of the richest men in England, and he was very bussy. Even when he was at home, he usually stayed in his studio. My only company was the chef, that if you think about it, it's really sad. He is much younger than I, and in spite of that, he was much taller. His light brown hair and grey eyes made him look older than 20, which in fact, he wasn't. He had arrived less than two years ago, looking for work and a place to stay, and that's what we gave him in exchange for a quality service as a chef.
-Ranboo was your name, wasn't it?-
The youthful jumped at the mention of his name, and almost immediately he arrived with a silver tray for breakfast.
-Yes, here it is. I'm sorry, it took me too much time, the water didn't boil and...-
-No, is ok.-
I mumbled without caring about it.
-Today we will have guest, so don't worry if you hear any short of noises.-
He just nodded with his head and smiled at me until I had finally finished my breakfast and I went outside for a walk. I needed some fresh air before I continued with the day.
We have had lots of calls asking for the job, so we replied to them to come to the mansion at 12:30.
But when I realised, the time had already come.
There wasn't much variety of people. Almost everyone fit with the same description. You could easily see it by the forcefully smiles on their faces. Adults between 40 or 50 years old with some short of preparation for the job.
But, among them, there was a person that standed out from everyone else. A young man, maybe one year older than me, appeared out of nowhere. He was clearly an outsider, blonde and with greenish eyes.
I wasn't expecting someone like him to be here at all, and that made me suspicious about him, he was planning something for sure.
-I'll have to keep a close eye on him.-
I made a metal note, to then, proceed to guide the guests.
All of them were assisted in the living room, and shortly after that, we started the meetings. One by one, I called them so they came to the room where the meetings were held. My father was the one in charge of the meetings, as well as other important business. I never had the opportunity to take part in one and if I did, it was only at his famous parties, where he'll just...ignore me.
