Mitsuba watched as Kou flopped onto the bed. He rolled onto one side and unrolled the covers, patting the opposite spot than the one he was on. Mitsuba had never slept... period, but especially not on a bed before. He didn't know what the fuck he was supposed to do. He awkwardly sat down on the spot Kou patted.
Kou laughed and layed down, Mitsuba mimicked him.
"This is stupid. Do humans really sleep in these everyday?" Mitsuba whined.
"Yeah? It's not that hard." Kou teased.
Mitsuba puffed out his cheeks and rolled to his side to face Kou, who was staring at the ceiling. He was very pretty. Pretty like a boy, though, he didn't have many feminine features.
A lot of people look at the middle Minamoto child as plain looking, a splitting image of his older brother. Mitsuba thought that at first, too. But after spending time with him, you could tell everything about him was very very different than Teru.
He had big blue eyes that lit up when he was happy. Light freckles splashed over his entire face and arms like raindrops, they got darker in the sun. He had a couple scars on his face and arms, Kou hated them and often put bandages over them despite them being healed. Mitsuba hated himself for not knowing where he got them, but he did know they weren't as awful as Kou thought they were. Mitsuba always knew him with them, hed never seem someone with scars before, so they were special to Kou. A lot of his skin was calloused, but it didn't really matter.
Long story short, Kou was very very pretty.
Kou turned to face Mitsuba. He grinned, holding his torso up with his arm as he tucked the covers over Mitsuba. He tucked the blanket into the bed frame onto Mitsuba's side, pressing the strawberry blonde into his chest. Kou's chest was warm. Mitsuba shut his eyes.
Kou finished, and pulled away, rolling onto his own side and pulling his side of the blanket over himself. That didn't last long, as Mitsuba immediately brought him back to where he was before, cuddling into Kou's neck.
Kou went red, and laughed under his breath. It made Mitsuba go red, too.
Mitsuba's wing things wrapped around Kou, bringing him closer to Mitsuba.
Kou made a choked sound and laughed, gesturing to the wings, "Hah... T-Too ti-"
Before Kou could finish his sentence, Mitsuba loosened the grip his wings had on Kou with a worried expression.
"S-Sorry. You're warm."
"It's all good!" Kou smiled, laying his head on Mitsuba's, "I love you so much."
"I love you too!!!! A lot!!!" Mitsuba squeezed Kou, sighing, "Thank you. For this. You were right, as you've been a lot with me. This does m-make me feel more human."
Kou smiled proudly, "I'll do anything to help you feel more human, Mitsu! I love you very much."
Mitsuba hummed, cuddling his face into Kou more.
"...Did you and your Mitsuba ever cuddle like this?"
"I told you, all we ever did was hold hands."
Mitsuba grabbed onto Kou's shirt tightly. "A-And you guys had mutual feelings for eachother? Do we, too?! We have mutual feelings for eachother, right!?"
Kou ran his hand through Mitsuba's hair to make him calm down with one hand, prying Mitsuba's hands away from his shirt with the other. Mitsuba's breathing slowed and he stopped rambling.
Koi planted a kiss on Mitsuba's head, "Of course we have mutual feelings, Mitsuba. I love you more than all the stars in the sky."
Mitsuba smiffled and hugged onto Kou, "Thank you..."
Kou buried his face into Mitsuba's hair, "...Goodnight, my Mitsuba." He whispered.
"Wha? Are you braindead?! I'm not your Mitsuba, im-"
"You're my boyfriend, therefore you're my Mitsuba."
Mitsuba turned red and opened his mouth to insult his shorter boyfriend, but he decided not to, instead just growling playfully and closing his eyes.
"I love you." Mitsuba sighed.
"I love you even more." Kou smiled.
