"Getting in here has been relatively easy," says Narmer "Getting you out is going to be more complicated."
"What do you mean?" asks Orazio.
"I have a flying motorcycle. I can have it come pick us up on automatic. But first we have to get out of the building and it's infested with Temple Eyes."
"So what do you suggest?"
"Not much to think about. I'll have to get rid of the Eyes. Wait here. I'll come and let you know when it's all clear," Narmer says in a calm voice.
Narmer leaves the room.
Orazio wonders how he can keep his voice so calm. His head is spinning: Mrs. Johnson has been murdered and Orazia has been accused of the crime! The world has gone mad. He needs to concentrate.
Orazio thinks for a second. If he goes with Narmer, he'll be out of this building and away from Isis. But if he gets caught trying to escape.... he can't live in fear that the Temple will be watching him.
He decides to try to escape. What choice does he have?Meanwhile Narmer gains access to the first floor of Philae's prison.
To enter he has had to manipulate the security system which has alerted the Eyes of the Temple. The room that separates them from the outside is full of these women. They seem well trained, equipped and alert. It's not going to be easy. But Narmer wouldn't try if he didn't think he had a chance of making it.
He wonders why he's risking so much to rescue the boy. It wasn't his instructions, but he thinks it's what Mrs. Johnson would have wanted.
Granted, Mrs. Johnson is already dead and can care little anymore about what happens, but for some reason Narmer feels he owes it to her.He has managed to steal a gun and plans to put it to good use. At the moment, the Eyes don't seem to have seen him in stealth mode. Narmer takes aim and starts shooting.
He kills two, but the rest, alerted, take cover. The noise of the guns attracts more Eyes and other guards. This was not part of the plan.
Narmer thinks they don't see him, but they still start firing their automatic weapons in his direction. That's when he realizes he doesn't stand a chance. He jumps over a railing and does a perfect somersault over the heads of those firing at him. Narmer's quick reflexes allow him to change position without the Eyes noticing.
He reloads the gun, picks the nearest one, aims and kills her. But there are too many of them. He begins to think he should have looked for another way to get the boy out of there.
The Eyes again fire blindly in his direction. The noise in the room is deafening. He desperately tries to reload his gun.
Someone shouts, "There he is! Get him!"
----------------------------------------
Downstairs, Orazio covers his ears so as not to hear the infernal gunfire from above.
There is no way Narmer is going to get out alive from such a barrage of bullets. What can he do? He has no gun and even if he had one he wouldn't know how to fire it. It's not something they taught him at the state orphanage.
Orazio feels useless. Always at the mercy of people more powerful than him without being able to decide his fate. He decides to act.
Orazio runs up the stairs as fast as he can and hides behind a corner. For some strange reason he no longer fears death. Something about being trapped in this horrible place has made him suicidal.
He decides to run out into the center of the room shouting "Narmer is going to kill you all!".
Someone shouts, "There he is! Catch him!"
Orazio is scared, but not so scared that he stops running.
"Don't shoot!" someone shouts. "He's the goddess's favorite. Don't let him escape, but don't shoot."
Narmer can't believe his eyes - what is that boy doing? However, as crazy as he is, the Eyes are now focused on him and Narmer has a chance to escape.
However, he is not going to take it. He is going to stay and try to save Orazio.
With his pistol reloaded, Narmer fires another volley of shots at the Eyes, but all he manages to do is draw attention to his position.
Orazio keeps trying to run for the exit door, but some of the Eyes get in his way. The Eyes are professional assassins. The Eyes are very good at their job. Half a dozen of them pounce on Orazio and take him down without too much effort.
"Get the kid out of here," shouts the one who looks like the boss.
They grab him and pull him to his feet. Between the six of them they drag him out of the building, while the rest continue to keep an eye on their unseen attacker. " Stay alert. There's someone here."
The Eyes again fire their automatic weapons on Narmer's position. A bunch of bullets pass close to Narmer's head, but fortunately without hitting him.
He leans against the wall. He has to get out of there without being noticed. He is going to run across the room and out the exit door.
One... Two... Three... Now!
Narmer rushes out the door. The Eyes do not seem to have seen him and continue shooting at the place where he was seconds before.
Already in the street, Narmer sees the six Eyes dragging Orazio. The boy fights tooth and nail against them, but they are too many for him.
Narmer has to be quick and take care of the six before the rest realize that he is no longer in the building. They seem to be focused on their target.
Narmer gets as close as he can to get a good shot. Then one of the Eyes releases Orazio. "Watch out, I saw something." The rest also let go of Orazio and grab their weapons.
Orazio doesn't think much of it and runs off.
"Forget about the kid. We'll look for him later," someone says.
Narmer fires his gun and shouts, "Stop!". The Eyes turn their heads and start firing blindly on where they think Narmer is.
Narmer changes his plan on the fly. Now he does not intend to kill the six Eyes, only to create a distraction that will allow Orazio to escape. He activates the flying motorcycle he has hidden outside the village walls and directs it towards Orazio's position.
The motorcycle lands next to Orazio, who gets on it. He looks back. The Eyes are still firing their guns like crazy, but he cannot see Narmer.
Suddenly, the motorcycle starts up without Orazio doing anything and flies off.
"Are you invisible Narmer?" says Orazio. There is no response.
Orazio is disappointed. He had hoped he wasn't invisible to him. From the flying motorcycle, Orazio gives the Eyes a middle finger gesture and gives them a smirk. He leaves the village and heads out into the local wilderness. He laughs like a madman as the flying motorcycle gains speed and pulls away from Philae.
"We made it Narmer" says Orazio trying to pat Narmer's back. "Narmer?"No matter how much he moves his hands looking for Narmer, he can't find him.
Orazio feels the panic rising. "Narmer! It's not fucking funny. Narmer!"
Then he sees the dashboard. The bike is in automatic mode.
"Fuck! Narmeeeeeeeeeer!!!!!!" Orazio's voice is lost in the imensity of the desert.
