"Tohru."
Kyo stood in the doorframe of Tohru's room his arms crossed over his chest.
"Kyo! Is there anything I can do for you?"
His eyes cast downwards to the floor and his face was covered by an uncharacteristic pink blush.
"Actually, there kind of is. It's going to sound dumb, but hear me out."
"I need you to help me transform."
Tohru looked willing but confused. "Why would you want to do that?"
The blush on Kyo's face darkened, his eyes darting around, attempting to look anywhere but the face of his brunette house-mate. "I can't tell you that."
Tohru nodded, her kind nature prohibiting her from pestering Kyo with questions she knew he didn't want to answer.
The girl stepped forward, pulling the taller boy into an embrace and stepping away when a puff of smoke encased them both.
Kyo- now a cat- desperate to avoid wasting the precious time he would stay in his altered state, ran off towards the open door and down the hall, out of Tohru's view.
The girl smiled as he left, hoping there was a good reason Kyo was acting suspiciously.
Kyo ran as fast as his small four legs could carry him; the familiar path downtown feeling comforting on the pads of his feet. He ran past the buildings as the sky began to slightly darken from the sun that was beginning to fall from the sky.
Kyo stopped in his tracks as he noticed the pressing issue of the sun's position. Worried the end of the day nearing would cause you to lock up and his plan to see you would be ruined, Kyo pressed on, running faster.
Rounding the familiar corner, Kyo shrunk into himself in the corner of the small indent of your building that held the entrance.
A girl Kyo had seen you talking to was saying something, muffled by the door that separated you and him. Her voice began to get closer to the door and shrinking into himself more to make him as small as possible, Kyo waited for the door to open.
