"That sounds awesome! When did you want to go?" Marco grinned and his eyes lit up. Star's heart skipped a beat looking at him.
"W-whenever you want." Star stuttered.
"Well, it's 11:30. You wanna go now?" Marco inquired, glancing at the clock embedded into the stove.
"Sure!" She smiled. "I'll go get dressed!" Before Marco had a chance to say he'll do the same, Star was rushing up the stairs. He smiled to himself and shook his head before heading to his room. Within five minutes, he was done, waiting for Star in the living room. He was wearing a simple dark grey shirt, black dress pants, and his classic red hoodie tied around his waist. Star came down ten minutes later. She was wearing a long, off-the-shoulder, pale blue dress. She had a a red ribbon holding her hair in a ponytail instead of her devil horns. Wedged sandals, butterfly earrings, and a belt with a diamond shaped buckle completed her look. Marco couldn't help but stare.
"Wow..." he whispered to himself. Star giggled.
"You ready?" she asked, breaking Marco out of his trance.
"Oh! Y-yeah!" he said. He held out his elbow. "Shall we go, m'lady?" He said in an English accent.
"We shall, m'gent!" Star giggled, playing along and grabbing his arm. They headed out the door, the cool breeze hitting their faces.

When they arrived, A large ice cream stand was set up not far from the flower field. Star gasped and Marco braced himself for what was about to happen.
"MARCO! GIMME EARTH MONEY! NOW!" Star squealed. Marco sighed and grabbed his wallet. Before he could even open it, Star snatched it from his hands and ran up to order. When he caught up, Star was still deciding on what to get.
"Hmmm... Marco, should I get cotton candy, or candy cotton?" She asked. "You know what? I'll get candy cotton. What do you want?"
"Peanut butter chocolate, please." He told the cashier.
They grabbed their frozen treats and sat on a nearby bench. They were surrounded by flowers, fountains, and trees.
"This view is gorgeous." Star sighed, licking her cone.
"I've seen better." Marco said, gazing at Star.
"You dork!" Star blushed.
They finished their cones and laughed. Star put her head on Marco's shoulder and he put his arm around her. She knew this was the perfect time to ask Marco to marry her. Her heart pounded in her chest.
"M-marco? C-can... I ask you something?" She nervously asked.
"Sure. What's up?"
Star took a deep breath. "It's Mewni tradition that by the time she turns twenty, the princess/queen must have a suitor. As you know, my twentieth birthday is next week. But there is a rule stating that he has to be prince or Mewman."
Marco sat up, looking panicked. Star took notice.
"Don't worry! I'm sure my parents would make an exception. So I want to ask you," Star takes another breath. "Marco Diaz. You are the best friend and boyfriend I've ever had. You make me laugh, smile, cry, and feel complete. Will you spend the rest of your life with this girl, and marry me?"
Marco's eyes filled with tears and his mouth dropped. "YES!! A BILLION TIMES YES!" he jumped up and kissed Star and held her tight. "I thought you would never ask! But..." He hesitated. "Are you sure that your mom will be okay with this?"
"Yeah, of course! Oh, and were going over on Friday to 'introduce' you to them."
Marco smiled softly and kissed Star's cheek mark. "Sound lovely."
