Chapter 1

A small figure moved through out her room and unlocked her cabinet that held her weapons before putting them on her back. She placed a mask over her mouth before leaving the room. However, before she could leave, she saw a gold hair cuff and grabbed it before placing it in her hair.

She swiftly jumped from her window to the other roof and ran as the rain poured down on her and her village. She then found herself in a cave, hot torches were the only things lighting up the place. She ran her small hand across the wall, feeling the carvings of dragons that were made centuries prior.

Her hand stopped on a certain spot and she put slight pressure and a net fell in her way and she dodged it swiftly. She chuckled. "So you think you're clever" she muttered to herself. She then took out a small shell that fit in the palm of her hand. She tapped the shell and it opened to reveal a small little pill bug.

She gave him a small smile before placing him on the floor. "Alright, let's show him who's clever" she said. The pill bug then turned back into a small ball and rolled, nets falling from the sense of something moving.

The bug then bumped into the wall and unrolled when he realized he reached the end of the tunnel. He then noticed a small green bug and began to follow it. "Psst. Tuk Tuk" he turned to the girl's voice. "Focus" she said quietly. He obeyed and waited as she crawled through.

"That was awesome. Give me some shell" she raised her hand and Tuk Tuk tried to reach for it but fell over. The girl laughed before pushing him back up. She stood up and took off her mask and looked at the door. She grabbed the two weapons from her back and stuck them into the holes, and used her strength to turn it.

The door opened and a dark cave was revealed. The only thing lighting it up, was the gold gem that resided in the center. It was surrounded by flowers and plants and water. The girl walked in, fascinated by the gem before realization hit her. "Wait a second" she said furrowing a brow. "This feels too...easy" she then turned back and saw a tall figure.

"Chief Benja" she started. "I know it's your job to try and stop me, but...you won't" she teased. "Don't mistake skill for strength young one" he responded. "You might want to take out that blade. You're gonna need it" she continued.

"Not today. You won't step into the Gem's inner circle. Not even a toe" he said. The girl then took out her weapons and charged towards the man. However, the covered blade blocked her from her path and she groaned in frustration before going to the other side and doing the same but it ended with the same result.

Benja then pushed the girl to the floor and she fell with a huff before using her strength and charging toward him again and jumping into the air and raised her weapon. She brought it down on him but he then pushed her and hit both weapons from her hands, causing her to fall on her back and she was face to face with the covered blade.

"Boop" the cover made contact with her nose and she shot a glare at the man. He then removed his mask. "You didn't get to the inner circle. You lost Raya" he said. Raya then smirked. "Did I?" she asked. Benja then looked down confused and saw her big toe against the stone floor. The inner circle.

He then sighed in defeat before leaning down to help the girl up. "I should've said 'two feet'" he said. Raya laughed. "Don't beat yourself to much Chief Benja. You did good" she said. Benja shot her a soft glare. "That's father or Ba to you" he said. Father and daughter both looked to the Gem. It glowed in the dark cave, and its waters ran softly, the only sound filling the quiet cave.

Benja cupped water before pouring it on Raya's head. The water ran down her hair before floating up and into the Gem where it resided with the others. "You are now a guardian of the dragon gem" he announced. Raya smiled in satisfaction. She trained her whole life for this moment. The moment she joined her father in protecting the gem.
