Chae's POV

I was finally done with all my work for the day. I was waiting for Scarlet in the back room to be done with her shift. I was just scrolling through my phone, I remembered one of my friends telling me that this café was very old. This business was apparently passed down through many generations.

I decided to do some research about it as it intrigued me a lot. While scrolling through different articles from food blogs, etc, when I found an interesting looking article at the very bottom of the search results.

It was an article on the 'Baker Café'. At first, I thought it was irrelevant. I opened up the article by mistake, there was a newspaper clipping from 1976! so I decided to read it.

After reading and doing some more digging, I found out a lot more information. The Baker café is actually the old name for this one. The café's name was changed even though it was a name picked out years and years before by their ancestors who had started the café.

The daughters of the then owners had gone missing and even after searching for years haven't been found. The parents were prepared for even the worst news, they just wanted closure as to where their daughters were or what happened to them. After they went missing, it was a really traumatic experience for the Bakers so they changed the name.

I texted Scarlet to come to the back room quickly, I had to show her this.

Scarlet's POV

I work at the front desk, dealing with difficult customers is so exhausting and anxiety-inducing. I was just looking to escape or melt into the floor or jump into a volcano. I was constantly looking at the clock to see when it would be time to close, ahhh there was still 15 minutes to go.

THEY. WERE. THE. SLOWEST. 15. MINUTES. OF. MY. LIFE.

As I entered the back room to get my things to leave with Chae, I was bombarded with loud screeches, "SCARLET! SCARLET! SCARLET! SCARLET! YOU GOTTA SEE THIS!" (a/n = flashback to this happening in irl and my parrots now doing the same thing) I quickly hushed her; I didn't want to get into trouble.

She showed me the article, which said that the daughters of the owner of the Baker café still hadn't been found. It had pictures of the girls, they looked very similar and around our age. They both looked drop dead gorgeous, AHHHHHHHHHH (a/n = me having a crush is really.... I have nothing to say).

But the question remained in my head for the rest of the night, where are they?
