Lady's POV

I was completely exhausted, but had to cook to at least eat for the day. While cooking, something catches my eyes. I look through my window and see three kids walking towards my house, looking confused.

Memories of that god forsaken day flashed in front of my eyes. I could see Beatrice and me in the same position. A tear rolled down my cheek without realising it.

*-*

"Beatrice! Come on, Let's look around the place" I chirped as I drag Beatrice through our dad's café. Even though she was younger, she was way more mature than I was.

We entered the storage room, father never allowed us to go in there. But he was not here today, so we could do whatever we wanted.

We came across a dark hallway. I pull Beatrice in the other direction as that room scared me and I didn't want to go there. But Beatrice was eager to go and dragged me in there. At the end of the hallway there was a mysterious looking puzzle. Beatrice is very intelligent so solved it very quickly, a purple portal opened up and we were dragged in.

"Bella! Bella!" I woke up to Beatrice calling my name. We were in the middle of nowhere, there was barren land as far as the eye could meet.

We could here anguished screams. We followed the sound for a long time until we finally reach a gigantic gate which beard the inscription, abandon all hope, ye who enter here. Naked and futile souls reside on the shores of Acheron in pain and agony, while relentlessly chased by swarms of wasps who continually sting them. Loathsome maggots and worms at these strange creatures' feet drink putrid mixture of blood, pus and tears that flows down their bodies.

After analysing the situation, Beatrice told me that we might be in the vestibule of hell. She was a mythology major and loved doing research on these things.

After passing through the vestibule, we reach a ferry that will take us across the river Acheron to hell. The ferry is piloted by Charon. "We have to convince him, that we are the souls of dead sinners to get through to hell" whispered Beatrice.

Beatrice managed to convince Charon and was allowed on the ferry. I however was discovered. I saw Beatrice's was face drop and was getting ready to jump off the ferry and out herself. But I shook my head as soon as I realised what she was going to do. I couldn't just selfishly put her in danger, she was the most important person in the world. I saw her getting rowed away from the shore. Tears where in her eyes, which broke my heart into a thousand pieces.

I was taken in front of the royal jury, where I was cursed with staying in the realm between the living and dead.

"If you leave, I'll find you in a heartbeat. If you test me, I'll give you a reason why not to. So, I would advise you not to go against me, or you'll deeply regret it." Those words still send shivers down my spine.

That day after I left the royal court, I vowed not to let the same fate come upon anybody else.

*-*

I went out to check on them. Let them in to my home, gave them water, told them to sit for a few minutes and then tell me everything.

They told me how the got here, my heart ached, they were the same as us back then, young and full of dreams and aspirations. I knew that once somebody was here, they couldn't go back unless through hell, I subconsciously wondered if my sister had managed to escape.

I knew exactly what to do, I had been studying this place since that day.

"Where are we?" one of them asked. I didn't have the heart to tell them, but I had to. So, I tell them my story. I could see the shock on their faces. The two girls exchange a disappointed but not surprised look with each other, almost like they had already predicted this.

"I know how to get you through to hell." I saw aray of hope in their eyes.
