Cynthia's daily maxim: Never be satisfied Do not ask, just consume An excess that devours you
Indulge in maximalism that coats your inner walls with gold and death Hang the velvet entrails of anyone who stands in your way On mirrors and godless altars to wealth Wrap the finishing touch with blood-rich accents and pure-white ribbons
Pupil, sinew, muscle Twisting, turning Expanding and contracting It seems you are an acquired taste
A forked tongue that concaves back to your liar's mouth Fangs that bite the hand that feeds you Even if the hand is your own Rolling back to black beginning.

Cynthia Long is another character of mine that embodies the Dark Triad trait of narcissism. I tried to explore narcissism in a unique way, in that it isn't just thinking highly of one's self, but to be so in love that it would consume itself to extinction in its self-lust.
Oh, if my character were real and knew her poem was still a work in progress, she would spit in my face.
