By the time you were 16, you were almost never home. It was your home, the house you lived in with wonderful siblings, but your demon hunting job took almost all your time.

When it's day time, you'd go on long journeys on finding the place where the said demon is lounging. When it got to night time, It was time to prepare yourself mentally and physically. You were never put off by the idea of cutting their heads off, your whole mindset on demons had changed ever since the incident that took place when you were 12.

The more missions you had, the less time you had to get home and hang out with your siblings. Even if you did, on the way there you'd always be distracted by the former water hashira, Sakonji Urokodaki.

You were more and more determined to get to that rank, to become a hashira, to the point that family was the last thing on your mind.

You've been to the butterfly estate quite often, hanging out more and more with Kanae Kocho, sometimes even with her younger sister. When you had the time, training with Kanae was one of the most fun things to do in your spare time.

After experiencing the longest mission on Mt Ontake, known to be a volcano, your crow told you you could head home and rest for a few weeks.

Resting wasn't something you had planned since you were heading home back to your family. Your way home could take days since you were currently on an island.

You couldn't wat to see their smiles and to hear their happy laughter. You also couldn't wait to talk to your father about your missions.

It took Tanjiro a while, but he did confront you about your lies and asking where you went all the time. At the time, you were having a talk with your father about your mission that ended swiftly, talking pridefully about yourself. You were a bit taken back, not knowing how he managed to find out about your lies. Your father on the other hand, wasn't as much.

You made him promise not to tell your other siblings about it, since it would only make them worry, and you didn't want that.

Ever since then, you and Tanjiro grew closer than before. He'd come and listen when you talked about your missions.

As you grew busier though, that ended. You only came home when you had enough time to even head home. Your visits have slowly ended, and eating at ramen shops became constant for you.

You thanked modernity, as you could take a train to Tokyo, and only then continue your way home by foot.

You didn't know what to expect when you came home, with every step you took, your mind was racing to every possibility. Your father had only gotten even more sick since the last time you were there. You had hoped by some miracle that he'd be cured by the time you were home.

Only after that cerebration, the idea of a demon coming to your house had dreaded you. Your footsteps became quicker and by the time you were already standing in front of your house.
