The Great Hall

We reached Hogwarts, and saw Professor McGonagall standing there with a big and triumph smile on her face. After the battle she became our Headmistress.
My First instinct was to greet her but just when I was about to say “hello Professor”. She leaned towards me and patted my shoulder saying “Good to see you Malfoy, how are you holding up lately?”
“Its good to see you too Professor, I-I’m doing great!”
“Don’t lie to my face Draco” she said with a disagreeing look on her face “I’ve been your teacher for seven years, I know when a student lies.”
She was right, anyone could see right through my eyes that I wasn’t okay....the moment I set my foot on this place I saw everyone staring at Blaise and I with a look of disgust and from the corner of my eyes I could see Pansy and her gang smirking at Blaise and I.

“No Professor I really am fine” I lied. I hate myself for lying to her.
“Its okay Draco, to not to be okay” she said with a concerned look.
“Professor Dumbledore may not be with us” she said “but once he said ‘Dark times lie ahead of us and there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right.’  Draco, you may have taken some bad decisions in your past but now you have chosen to be right and decided to change and you did change otherwise you wouldn’t been here talking to me.”
I didn’t know what to say so I just nodded at her with a understanding look.

While I left with Blaise towards the Great Hall, Pansy Stood in front of me crossing her arms around her chest, giving me an evil smile and said
“I don’t know what or who manipulated you two but you’re a disgrace to purebloods now, you should be ashamed of yours–”
“I don’t know what your problem is " Blaise said, almost loosing his temper “but the only manipulative person here is you”
“Blaise stop” I was trying to calm him down “She is not worth your anger, actually she isn’t worth anything from us"
“You–“
“Blaise!! Let’s go" I pulled him out of there while pushing one of her minions.

We pushed through the crowd and were searching seats for us at the dinner table and found two seats. I sat at the corner in silence. You must be thinking why Blaise and I hate Pansy so much, its because after the battle I found out that during the fight Pansy secretly attacked many of the students and got them killed while staying in the dark and putting the blame on us, while we didn’t even attacked anyone. Yes except Crabbe set the room of requirement on fire and killed himself there.
When we both found out that, we confronted Pansy but her response stunned us,she said “well its not like you didn’t wanted to.. besides you should be happy because some of the filthy mudbloods died... they are a major burden on our Wizarding world” she scoffed as if it wasn’t a big deal.
I lost my temper and lashed out saying “You’re neither a death-eater nor a criminal working for Voldemort. You are just a witch you can’t just kill anyone and roam around freely and you know what the worst part is...you stayed in the dark and put the blame on us where we didn’t even stunned anyone. You should be in Azkaban"
“And how will you two prove that huh?” she said with a evil laughter “those who knew are D-E-A-D, besides if anyone suspects anyone ,the suspects would be you two or maybe mainly you” she said while pointing her wand at me.
“Have you lost your mind?” Blaise lashed “you were our best friend how could you do that to us”
“Bestfriend? Really...” she scoffed again “from the day you got the mark I envied you, I was the one who wanted to be the part of the death eaters. But he chose a coward, he chose you over me.”
“I never wanted to be a part of the death eaters Pansy. I was forced to do so” I said clenching my fists “and Blaise, unlike you he helped me to escape from Voldemort’s grip"
“Uh-uh its Lord to you”
“You’re not the Pansy we knew, You’ve change–”
“I never was” she said “now get out of here”
The memories were playing once again in my eyes but within a few seconds I was interrupted by Blaise.
“Draco, Professor’s going to say something pay attention” Blaise said.
“My dear students its very good to see all of you after the dark time has passed. We have lost many of our people but you won’t let it be a thorn in our way, we have their blessings to continue our lives and fulfil our goals. This year some students of seventh and sixth year have dropped out from Hogwarts, Those students are-

From Gryffindor :
Dean Thomas
Ronald Weasley
Parvati Patil
Anna Brown
Steven Jackson

From Hufflepuff :
Hannah Abbott
Grey Longwood
Rose Stewart
Evelyn McCarth–”

I didn’t pay much attention to the names, but instead I was starring at Hermione like a lost puppy.
“Hey watch out, you might make a small puddle of drool and we might sink in it” Blaise said with sarcasm in his voice.
“You and your bad jokes” I rolled my eyes.
“It will get stuck....your eyes” he said jokingly.
“Ha ha very funny”
“you know I was trying to make you less nervous, you know with my bad sense of humor” he gave me a nervous smile.
“Thanks dude, it did helped a little bit though” I said trying to annoy him a little bit.
“Oy, only a bit.... you’ve hurt my feelings bro”
I chuckled.
“Okay enough with the chit chat Professor might call me anytime now”
“Now” Professor McGonagall said “there is one student who want to share a few Minutes–”
“and that’s my cue to leave” I said.
“Oy, you can do this..!”
“I know I will”
I got near the stage where Professor was standing, I took a look at Hermione, she looked like she was thinking who was going to say a few lines on the stage, what is he or she going to say–
“Draco Malfoy” Professor called out my name.
