At The Corridors

I was wandering around the halls and Corridors when I caught sight of Hermione who was sitting all alone reading a book. So I thought of going there and give her some company.

I went near her, she looked so peaceful that it made my heart and soul calm and relaxed. I was about to tap her shoulder but instantly all the flashbacks played in my brain and I took a step back. I let out a sigh and turned to leave when suddenly I heard Hermione’s voice and my heart skipped a beat.
“You know I’m not gonna bite you!”
I chuckled and muttered a “yeah” and sat next to her, she didn’t look at me at first but I could tell that she was trying hard to stop blushing. Her cheeks were turning red and it was so damn cute.

                  Hermione’s POV.

As I was curled up with my book in the Corridors I sensed someone’s presence behind me. At first I was about to take out my wand but then I realized that the person was not there to harm me and I didn’t take much time to recognize who was the person, It was Draco. I said that I am not gonna bite him with a bit of sarcasm. He laughed and within seconds he was sitting next to me. at first I didn’t looked towards him, but then he broke the silence.
“So...what are you reading?” he said.
“Potions.. and that’s our next class too.”
I knew he was staring right at me. I couldn’t stop blushing. So not to make the situation more awkward I look up right into his eyes and got lost in them. As we were looking right into each other’s eyes my palm started to get sweaty and butterflies started to twirl inside my stomach and my cheeks start to burn up. UGHH!! what is happening to me!

             Back at Draco’s P.O.V

As she looked up, our eyes met and we sank into each other’s eyes my heart started to beat real fast. I know it sounds cheesy but that moment was so special.

“Ahem..!” suddenly a voice broke the moment, obviously it was one of her friend.
“It took 5 minutes to get your attention. Do I have your attention now? Both of you?” Said Ginny.
“Y-yeah.. yeah" I cleared my throat.
“Yes” Hermione said,
“Good, we were searching for you two all over Hogwarts ” Ginny was fuming.
“Why?” I asked.
“We are late for our Potions class” Potter said calmly.
“Bloody Hell how did I forget!” Hermione jumped up.
“Hey...Hey it’s okay, its Slughorn not Snape. He will understand, besides it’s our first day of this session” Blaise calmed us down.
“Where is Neville?” I asked.
“He went to take his Herbology class.” Potter said.
“Are we done now? We are running late. Let’s go guys!!” Hermione was about to run.
“Yeah let’s go.” I said.

We went to our class and saw Professor Slughorn who was flashing a big smile at us.
“Welcome students. I’m pleased to see you all once again safe and sound, today as our first day of this session we will be doing a small quiz on Potions between Slytherin and Gryffindor. Please take your seats.”

As always Blaise and I sat together but this time Ginny, Hermione and Potter accompanied us too, maybe because we came in late but I really didn’t know.

“Let’s start with an easy question.” Professor said “which potion is also known as the liquid luck?”
That was easy, but the first person who raised their hand was obviously Hermione.
“Felix Felicis" she said.
“Well done Miss. Granger, 5 points to Gryffindor, now into to the second Question. Name any three ingredients needed to brew the Draught Of Living Death?”
I knew the answer and the fastest hand that was raised was mine. “Professor, to brew this Potion we need Valerian Roots, A Sloth brain and Moondew.”
“Well done Mr. Malfoy, 5 points to Slytherin.”
As the quiz continued we were tied, its was the last question and this will define which house wins.
“And the last question is for 10 points...” he continued “In which potions Jobberknoll Feathers are the key ingredient?”
For a moment every one was silent, everyone’s brain was storming inside but then, Hermione raised her hand and said–
“ Wolfsbane?” She wasn’t sure.
“That’s incorrect Miss. Granger” Prof. Slughorn implied “anyone else? No one? Very well the–”
“Veritaserum!” Potter answered.
“That’s correct Mr. Potter! Which mean 10 points to Gryffindor. Jobberknoll Feathers are the key ingredient in veritaserum also known as the truth potion.”
