The Flashbacks (part I)

I went to the podium where Professor was standing. With a hesitancy I said
"Hey there everyone, My name is-"
"We know who you are, you filthy Death-eater" said some one from the back row "you don't belong here."

"Death-eater" I said with a painful smile "Death-eater, you say.Do you even know what the irony it is?! I never wanted to be one. I was forced to do so, I was forced from the very beginning. My father who had been sentenced to life in Azkaban, always forced me to do things his way. I'm not going to put all the blame on him, because it was my fault too, I didn't stand up for myself, I was afraid of my father, that's why I became who I was before the battle."

I glanced at Hermione, she was looking at me as well " I let him blind me by the Blood Prejudice. And for that matter I deserve all the hatred but hear me out first please. Many of you have always received a small gift from an anonymous person after I bullied you, that anonymous person is me. I know I didn't had the guts to say sorry directly because I was scared of my father. I have heartedly regretted my decisions and still regret them, but once a wise person told me that in the darkest of times there's a opportunity to choose between what is easy and what is right, and now I've chosen to be right and make up for my mistakes. But for now as a start up I need your forgiveness and that's all I want.. please forgive me for my past deeds, I truly am sorry." I turned towards the Professors and said "I was very disrespectful towards you all I'm sorry" I looked straight at Hagrid "will you be able to forgive me?"

There was a thick silence and slow whispers everywhere, it was like the students didn't expected an apology from me. I glanced at Blaise with a confused look he mouth synced "everything is okay.. go on."
I glanced at Professor McGonagall, she gave me an approving nod.

McGonagall's P.O.V
"Before Dumbledore died he had said that this boy is equally gifted as Potter, and so did Snape. The boy might have been blinded by his family's dark decisions in the past, but what's past is past, it can't be changed, what can be changed is the present. And now his is doing it.
At first I really believed that both Dumbledore and Snape were being ridiculous, but my belief changed when I got an owl from Malfoy, the letter said..

Professor McGonagall,
I wanted to say something for a long but couldn't muster the courage. Professor the thing is I regret all my past decisions that I've made in my past. I seek your forgiveness.
I have decided to change and start a new journey, and for that I need to apologize to every person whom I've have been cruel towards. And for that you're the only person whom I can seek help. I'm sorry Professor. I want to apologize in front of everyone at the welcoming ceremony. I will be forever grateful to you if you give me the chance to apologize to everyone there, even the Professors.

As I was starring at Professor, suddenly a voice came from the back of the Hufflepuff table.
"Are you willing to change?"
"Will you makeup for your mistakes?" Said another person from the Ravenclaw side.
"You wouldn't be cruel to anyone anymore, will you?" said a familiar voice, Hermione.
"I'm willing to change" I replied
"I will makeup for my mistakes" I looked at Hermione.
"And I promise I'll never be cruel to anyone ever again" I said looking right into her gorgeous brown eyes "will you forgive me?" I asked all the while staring at Hermione.
"Well in that case" someone said from the back "you will be forgiven in one condition, you will never hurt a hair of us or our close ones."
"I never will."
"Well that's a deal then!" Said a boy from Ravenclaw.
"It is not just a deal, it's a promise. And I promise that neither I'll harm you nor let anyone to" I said this looking towards Hermione, I swear I think I saw her blush for a milisecond.
