pine sat on a pile of moss, his bright white scales stood out from the dark green moss. he sighed, the blank walls were like the icewing palace's cold white walls, but it was warm here, welcome.

his brother, north and cousin, shard were high on the wall, granting him and his family a place in the large icy palace. after snowfall shattered it,  north and shard were no doubt planning with tundra how to take over. pine hated it there. so did frostflower, they had bonded at their time at the palace. then at their 'visit' or attempt at escaping, to possibility.

suddenly cacti trotted in, his beautiful yellow and warm scales glowing from the torchlight.

"frostflower needs you."

his head snapped up,

"what?" cacti just shook his head and gestured with his wind to follow him. so he did.

"frostflower? what's wrong?"

frostflower's light blue scales appeared in the corner of the cave, she was shaking, talons over her snout. pine rarely saw his sister this way. she was normally stubborn, brave, like nothing could get in her way. the opposite of me. pine thought. he walked up to her, and put a hesitant wing around her.

"frostflower?"

"stupid north." she muttered.

"north? what did he do?"

"everything." pine frowned. "he called me weak, he said I didn't deserve the so called lucky opportunity to live in the icewing palace. he said that I was a fool to support snowfall's decisions. he called you a cold hearted slush." cacti stood up.

"I will murder him." he growled. pine shoot him a look, standing up. he wrapped his wings around himself. azure, who was silent in the corner, soothing frostflower, hugged him.

"your brother is a pineapple head." pine laughed. "thanks azure."

pine walked with cacti and frostflower to the prey center, where north was, eating a fish and talking to shard. frostflower growled. and pine slowed down his pace towards the pile of food.

azure then appeared behind them, glancing at north, then frostflower.

they tried to ignore him as they took some food, but shard was staring daggers at azure and frostflower. frostflower, she looked like she was about to jump at them.

"frost, lets go hunt." pine said softly, inching away, and dragging frostflower away.

they both flew outside, eyes scanning the mountains for prey. some dragons were outside hunt too, then frostflower spotted a goat, she dove towards it, talons stretched.

then, a flash of silver appeared in front of her and the goat was gone.

frostflower growled and spun towards the dragon.

north.

"you- you- walrus face. that was mine!" she lunged towards him, wings flapping loudly. she was angered now. she swiped at him, stealing the goat from north.

"frost! frostflower!" pine said nervously, the dragons were now watching the scene, worried.

"how dare you say those things to me and pine-- to your own siblings!" she roared, and north growled.
