Chapter 7: Girls Day Out

Today is finally the day! It's Friday! No school tomorrow which means I get to sleep in tomorrow! But than again I am kind of liking school now. I think the girls really accept me for who I am. I honestly don't think they are being nice to me just because of their boyfriends. Anyway, what should I do this weekend? I have the house to myself for 3 months! Maybe I'll go to the park. I know what your thinking 'that's so lame your 18 years old and still want to go the park?' Well yes yes I do! I love the park it helps me think. Plus, I like seeing little kids happy and their parents giving them a loving look even when the are irritated by their kids attitude. I don't mean that in a pedophile way but just envy. It makes me miss my parents a lot. But their in a better place now. I guess I'm really deep in thought because I'm startled when Kenzie, Casey's girlfriend taps me on the shoulder.

"Hello Elizabeth! We are all going to the mall than the movies tomorrow do you want to come? We would really appreciate it if you would come! We want to get to know you better!" She says with a big smile and hopeful look on her face. All the other girls agree and give a big smile. They really want to get to know me? Like generally want to get to get to know me. Woah. "Uh yeah. Yeah. Of course I would love to come to the mall with you gurls! I have nothing better to do anyways." I stutter a little bit, but give them a genuine smile."Great! How about we meet at the mall at 10 am in front of Barns & Nobles? That sound good?" Abbie, Toms girlfriend questions. "Its the one to the right of the freeway right?" Stephanie, Chris's girlfriend ask Abbie. "Yes that one. Okay now does everyone get where we are meeting up and what time? If not text me. Oh! Elizabeth give me your phone I'm going to put all our numbers in it so you can text us anytime." She says turning to me with her hand out. Um okay?

I take out my phone and hand it to her. After like 10 minutes of the phone being passed between the 7 girls Charlotte hands me my phone back. "Here you go. All our numbers and the boys numbers are on there. Plus Jakes." She says while wiggling her eyebrows. "What? What does that mean? I don't like Jake. I mean I like him as a friend but I don't like like him." I struggle to get out. What are they talking about? I don't like Jake like that. "No one said you did Eliza." Robyn laughs. "Eliza?" My name isn't Eliza. Did she forget my name? "Yeah. That's your nickname from me." She says smiling at me. "Oh, I've never had anyone give me a nick name before." I say shyly. "Really? Wow. How old are you? 18 right? You should have at least had one nickname in your life!" Well if you count slut, ugly, other words that should not be repeated. But, my reply is much more simple than that. "Well maybe if you count Jake calling me Lizzy."

"Ohhhhhh! How cute! You guys have nicknames already! What do you call him? Jakey? Awwwww" Deanna coos. I turn bright red embarrassed. "No! I call him Jake like everyone else." I say still bright red. "Mhmm that's what they all say. It's okay no need to be embarrassed we are your friends!" Abes (Charlie's girlfriend). "Kenzie how are you and Casey doing?" I say hoping to change the subject. getting a loving look on her face Kenzie says, "We are perfect! We have dinner plans this Sunday. I can't wait, he's so sweet!" All the other girls (including myself) fused over how cute they are together. I kind of envy these girls and their boyfriends for their relationships. I wish I had a relationship with someone who loves me for me. Who will hold my hand in public. Who will introduce me to his friends because he wants to show me off. there are many things in this world I want but know I can never have. When we finally started to stop gushing over everyone's relationship I realize I never ate today and it is almost dinner time.

"Hey are you girls hungry? I'm starving! I could go for some In-N-Out right now!" I say kind of hyper. I like food okay! Insert pout face here. "Goodness I though you would never ask! I'm starving too!" Charlotte yells while laughing. All the other girls agree so we decide to get in Robyn's car and drive to In-N-Out. When we packed into the fast food place, people stared at us like we were crazy. I guess that's understandable considering there are 9 of us. We laughed and giggled the whole time while eating our meals. By the time we left it was 5:30 we were there a good hour or two! Considering Robyn was the driver she drove each of us home I was the 5th to be dropped off. "Thank you for today girls! I had so much fun. See you tomorrow!" With that said I closed the car door and walked to the front door and opening it. I know nobody is here but I'm still cautious. After double checking I go to my room put my pjs on and go the bed. the last thought I have before I go to sleep is, 'man I can't wait for tomorrow'.
