As I was waiting for June by the front door of the school so she can drive us home, I saw people crowding around someone and screaming again. I didn't get a good look at who they were. She came outside and we started walking to her car. "Who do you think that is?" She asked me. "I don't know but it's really weird." We got into her car and she connected her phone and started to play music. We started singing along terribly to Ariana Grande until we got home. We got to the door and started to hear the dog barking before we even got inside. June took her keys to unlock door and when we got inside, I quickly shut the door so she wouldn't go outside. "Hi Lily!" I said as I picked her up. June and I walked upstairs to put our backpacks in our rooms. I put Lily on my bed and took my backpack off and put it by my door. It felt so good to get it off of my shoulders after a long day.
When I turned around and looked at Lily, she went down the stairs that she uses to get on my bed and started running to the living room. "Traitor." I said jokingly. I went downstairs to find her and heard the front door open and my parents say "We're home!" June came downstairs and we all sat on the couch, watching TV. "We should go meet the neighbors." Our mom said after a few minutes, standing up. "Right now?" June said. "We have to meet them some time. We didn't have time when we were moving in." Dad says, as he paused the TV. We met our neighbor next door and she was the same age as my parents. Her name was Karine and she was really nice. She told us that she has twins that are my age and that they're on their way home with their dad. She then told us about our other neighbors and we went and met them.
When we were walking home, we saw her kids get out of the car and go inside. Karine saw we were still outside and went to get her kids and husband. I saw Noah with them. She started to introduce them and before she introduced Noah, I said "Noah." And Noah said "Hi y/n!" "You two know each other?" Karine asked. "Yeah, we're in chemistry together." He says. We all talked for a few minutes until we went back inside. As Noah was leaving, I heard him whisper excitedly, "She doesn't know!" I wonder what that was about.
