Chapter 21 What Goes On In The Mind

Terracotta and Anaconda lay down by the fire pit across the room of the library. It's flames crackled like bursting fire crackers and their scales glowed in the flames light. Sogmud slowly lay next to them and closed his eyes feeling the same warmth the other two dragons felt beside him.
"Terracotta, Anaconda do you know what you are going through right now?" Sogmud rasped as he looked deeply into their worried eyes.
The two dragons before Sogmud stopped, and look at each other.
Terra cotta sighed,
"I-don't-ugh..." Terracotta stuttered as she clutched her head tightly.
"What wrong?" Anaconda asked as he placed a talon on her shoulder.
"What's wrong with her?"
Sogmud gazed back,
"She is remembering. Her knowledge of a mudwing and scavenger are mixing. They are adjusting to make a new mind. Watch."
Anaconda took a step back and watched as Terracotta fumbled to the ground clutching her head again. It hurt. Badly. The same pain Terracotta felt in the cell with that jerk CloudBringer. Then Terracotta opened her eyes. They were pure black and this startled Anaconda. It was the same eyes he captured at that moment when Terracotta's form was changing right before his eyes in front of the swirling portal. Anaconda shuddered but kept silent. Terracotta then stood up on her four talons and stared at Sogmud, her eyes still distant, deep and dark. Then she turned her head to Anaconda who stood there frozen like a statue.
"Anaconda," she rumbled her voice completely different. It was smooth and relaxed like a wave of relief washed over her. He voice wasn't jagged, hurt and worried, it was like her human mind was combined with a new energy. A new mind.
"Leave us I peace. I need to talk to Sogmud. If you refuse and stay you won't understand the words flowing from our mouths for they are ones that are realization of whom I've become. Please leave us foster brother." Terracotta commanded her distant eyes staring at Anaconda.
Anaconda gulped, Terracotta was different indeed and he was worried. Anaconda just nodded and backed toward the door were a couple of guards stood to escort him. Terracotta kept watching Anaconda until the door was closed. Then She slowly turned her head to Sogmud and placed her deep black eyes on his.
"Do you remember now Terracotta?" Sogmud asked his eyes still plastered on Terracotta's.
"Not everything I'm afraid not. I just remember the main facts. I'm a mudwing and scavenger crossbreed. Scavenger is also known as "human". Mudwing one of the strongest of all the species, fire proof and loves mud. Excellent fighters fought in the war of the three sandwing sisters. Burn, Bister, Blaze. Each desired for the Sand kingdom throne after their mother Oasis was assassinated. War began until a prophecy was discovered unknown that Morrowseer a nightwing and the queen of the nightwings created it. The Dragonets of Destiny, known to be the Dragonets to save Pyrriha according to the prophecy, consisted of Clay a mudwing, Sunny Sandwing, Starflight Nightwing, Tsunami Seawing and Glory Rainwing. In the end they brought peace to the land of Pyrrhia even though the Prophecy was false. Known throughout history they fashioned a school were dragons of all tribes would meet to live together In harmony. This school was known as Jade mountain. That is all I know so far at the most but I don't understand how this knowledge is in my brain." Terracotta finished as Sogmud nodded thoughtfully.
"You are getting what is known as "Born Knowledge" some Dragons born in the light of the three moons is each granted a gift of some sort like two or three or sometimes none. There is a dragon known as Moonwatcher who can see the future and read minds of other Dragonets for she was born under the light of the three moons. You were granted an automatic knowledge of the basic history of Pyrrhia ever since you were born."
"How is that possible?" Terracotta questioned.
"When you were born from an unusual egg the genes of you father aka a scavenger, (just that he took a potion to be a mudwing) seeped into your brain thus confusing your mind about either the human brain, or the mudwing brain to choose from, to be the dominant mind. But with the moons help, they prevented you from dying at such a young age by seeping out the "Born Knowledge" power out of you. But the moons left a little bit of this knowledge inside. Why? Because at a young dragonet age, if two minds seep together they get confused and both minds shake rapidly causing unbearable headaches and hormones you can't imagine."
"But how come crossbreed Dragonets don't die? They have two minds right?" Terracotta asked puzzled.
Sogmud nodded,
"They don't die. Their minds are already adjusted to the feeling of two dragon minds coming together but it only hurts a little. Like a 1 day pounding headache. A regular dragon who has parents who are the same breed have it the easiest, their minds can easily bring together the same species together and get used to it quickly. There is no pain when this process happens. But yours is different. You mind was not accustomed to have a scavenger mind combined with a mudwing mind. The two minds would have to fight to be dominant. If they could have fought with each other to be the dominant mind you would already be dead. So the moons seeped back the power of "Born Knowledge" which restrained the mudwing mind for later on in the future. But the moons left only a little bit for, "reasons" this was the cause of your intelligent eyesight, super smart brain, muscular figure than any other human, agile than anyone on Earth and strategic warfare like no other. Now since you are here in Pyrrhia the moons have decided to give you back your knowledge."
Then Terracotta's eyes stopped staring and was held at a quiet gaze, then she stumbled back and roared loudly as a bright beam of light shot down on Terracotta from the roof of the library blinding Sogmud.
The Moons are giving her off the last bit of the "Born Knowledge". This will be the last time she will ever feel human-like again. After this she is going to be so much different. She is gonna be a new dragon. A Scavenger and Mudwing Crossbreed.
