Aang stepped off the train with a sense of accomplishment. He had actually made it. Republic City. The bustling roads and hectic environment could be heard from miles away. This was VERY different to where Aang lived. He wasn't used to so many people, big and small, being around him at once. Aang wiped a single bead of sweat that had managed to find its way to his face, not only was it because he was nervous, but the blistering sun was practically burning him alive. Not wanting to wait any longer, Aang began travelling over toward the sounds of what he liked to call, his new home. It was quite a grueling task, trying to nead his way through the seemingly endless charade of people but, at last, he had reached the city's outskirts. The scenery was the thing that surprised him almost immediately when he looked at the city. The sun was rising and was glistening over the buildings and towers that formed the united land. It looked like a scene from a fairy tale or something. Aang was used to seeing drop-dead or stunning sights back at his home, since he lived near lots of farms and mountains, but this was a different type of stunning. He certainly did like the view, but he kinda missed the simplicity of his own home. The 'natural' beauty, if you may. Actually, what is the only thing that is natural about this place? I mean, there is the island not to far away from here but they are reserving that for the Avatar. Apparently they are also having a giant statue made for him but no one knows who he is yet. I wonder where he is? Or what's he doing.

Shrugging the thought off, Aang continued to carry out his journey to his new apartment. He was actually going to get a roommate along with it, which wasn't so bad, as long as they don't talk to him that much. You know, because of the whole socially awkward thing. Yeah anyway, Aang had managed to get away from the busy station and ended up in a secluded sidewalk. This was much more tranquil. He walked more slowly, his hands on his pocket and his hood down, allowing a soft, tender breeze to brush against his face. It was quieter than usual, and that was exactly how he liked it. In fact, his new apartment was supposed to be here, but he didn't have a clue where it was... obviously. That only meant one thing,
Talking to people.
After shortly hyperventilating from the thought, Aang searched like his life depended on it. He may have looked insane to the regular people, but in his mind, he was panicking, badly. You see, because his parents made sure he didn't talk to people after they found out about his whole 'socially awkward' situation, they made him stay away from people. Which, in turn, made the problem worse.
Aang shook his head at the thought. He wanted to forget than remember. That's mostly the reason he came here. In hindsight, it was the perfect place. However, saying it was big would be an understatement. The place was massive! The whole ordeal with that, is that he would probably get lost quite a few times.
Aang, once again, shoved the thought out of his mind and focused on his new mission; find the apartment.
After spending countless minutes searching for some way of finding his place without talking to people, he eventually gave up. It was getting dark so there was no point in starting on another road and looking for it there. There was only one other choice. He breathed one last sigh of content, before walking toward a bystander that was mere metres away from him. Aang gulped, he hadn't felt this way when he talked to that girl Suki. Granted, she come up to him and stared the conversation while he just sat there pretending to listen, but still. It was scary. It may be stupid for some people, but in Aang's point of view, it was unnatural for him. He didn't know how, as he was told he was an easily approachable person when he was younger, but most people often came to him.
The bystander had noticed the young teen walking up to him and raised his head as to address him. Alright, he raised his head, that means he wants my name, right? Alright, alright. Just play it cool, you know, act aloof. Apparently that works. Aang tried to convinced himself as he opened his mouth to speak.
