Chapter Twenty-Six

AJ's POV

Dean had sterilized the knife with the whiskey before taking a few sips from the bottle and placing me back on the counter and facing me before instructing me on what to do.

"I gonna assume you have never done this, take this knife and make a small cut over the bullet hole" he told me as I took the knife and made a small cut and put the knife back on the counter. "Now take the tweezers and pull the bullet out" he said laying against me and putting his good arm around my waist.

I wiped the access blood away with a dry towel before starting and I was about half way when Dean clutched my side. I gave him the whiskey bottle as he took a sip and placed it back before starting again. It took a few times, but I got it and slowly pulled the bullet out placing it on the counter as well.

"Your sweating, are you gonna be ok" I asked wiping the blood away again. "We are gonna need some painkillers after this and a long sleep" he told me giving me one of the needles.

"Now your gonna sew me up" he added laying back on me. I did as he asked with some difficulty because sewing clothes and sewing skin is somewhat different. After a few swear words and half the bottle I finished. "You look ready to pass out" I stated wiping away all the blood on his torso with a wet cloth and covering the new stitches with a large bandaid.

"No not yet" he said walking over to the bag and throwing on one is his shirts and some underwear before coming back and placing a bottle of pills on the counter and giving me panties and a shirt to which I put on as he put me back on the counter.

He gave me the whiskey and told me to drink, while picking up the second threaded needle. "No!" I flinched away and he held me in place. "You need to close that wound or it will get infected. I won't lie it's gonna hurt and I'm sorry, so drink" he told me pecking my lips lightly.

I took three big gulps and gave him a nod. He started and the pain was searing. I was moving a lot and because of that Dean had pinned my leg down and kept going as I emptied the bottle. He finished sometime after that and wiped away the blood with the wet cloth before wrapping my leg.

He took the pill bottle and gave me two and he took two before just throwing them in his mouth and swallowing. I put them in my mouth and turned the sink on getting a handful of water and drinking after turning it back off.

I collapsed on him and he pulled me down and wrapped his good arm around me leading us to the bed in the next room. He laid us down and we cuddled and fell into a deep sleep.

Dean's POV

I woke up and the sun was rising. I was sore and tired but we should get going. I sat up and moved my left arm and winced. Shit was gonna be sore for a while. I gently woke AJ up and she mumbled cutely in her sleep, so I decided to left her sleep a little more and went to gather our things and anything else we may need. I also need to clean our blood up and take the bloody towels and clothes with us.

I threw on a pair of pants and my shoes and got started and it took a little longer than I'd like to admit with my sore arm. But the car was loaded and the weapons were gone all I need was AJ. I went back to the room and found her putting her shorts on careful of her leg. I helped her get her shoes on and stood and kissed her. I told her to go sit in the car and I'll be their soon. I went down and passed the other three bodies stopping at the fourth.

"I'm sorry that you had die, you were the only innocent one and just so happened to be in the wrong place." I said a prayer over the nanny body and left her leaving back to the living room.

"Now you deserved everything you got. I just wished you had suffered more. I guess watching as your two favorite children are tortured and killed is good enough. I hope all four of you suffered in your final moments and go straight to hell for what you put me through" I spat at the dead woman.

I walked toward the door, leaving my past for the last time and finally feeling free.

"Goodbye mother" I said quietly exiting the house and climbing into the car and driving away.

"So where too?" I asked AJ taking her hand in mine and kissing it.

"Everywhere. I want to see the world with you" she told me smiling and I couldn't help but join as we headed for our new journey.
