Julia's POV:

I throw the blanket and pillow on the couch. "Well, here ya go."

Marcelo stares at the sofa.

I grab the pajamas and spare toothbrush. "My dad isn't as tall as you, so the clothes may be a bit tight."

He grabs it, "I'll live." He looks at the boxers.

"They're clean. Brand new." I gave him two thumbs up.

Marcelo grabs the tag. "I don't think they'll fit me."

I laugh, "You can stop trying to impress me. Their boxers, not condoms." I walk towards the other living room, "Bathroom is upstairs. Left is hot, and right is cold." I slap my leg and laugh some more, "Don't think they'll fit me."

After I got Kai ready for bed, I showered myself...in cold water.

The bastard took all the warm water.

I went downstairs with my wet hair to see Marcelo hanging off the couch. "Had a nice shower?"

He smiles, "Marvelous. You guys have a great water heater."

"Really?" I ground my molars, "And here I thought werewolves love cold water." Werewolves' body temperature is much higher than humans.

"I must be a one of a kind."

What a smartass.

He smiles, "Don't you agree?"

"Oh. You're sure something." I went upstairs.

"Sweet dreams!"

After I blow dried my hair, I went to bed with Kai. He cuddles close to my chest. Immediately, he fell asleep, and so did I. I hate to admit it, but it's nice to know someone is downstairs to fight off intruders.

To my horror, Friday morning came. It means my parents are coming back tomorrow and school starts Monday. And officially, I have no solutions where to keep Kai. Everyone is out searching for Kai, and I'm a high school student who doesn't have any power.

I could smell bacon downstairs.

I'll figure out how to hide Kai later.

Kai was at the dining table downstairs. He smiles, "Good morning Julia!" He drags my half-asleep self towards the food.

"Did you make all of this?"

Kai shakes his head, "Alpha-I mean Mark help me."

"Where is he?" It's 10 am.

"He's in the garage."

I nod, "Hm." I sat down and ate breakfast. Once I'm done, Kai helped me clean up.

Is this how it feels like to have a younger brother? I don't understand why Brenda is always complaining about Brian. Having a sibling is cool.

Later, Kai and I play superheroes. Well, I taught him about superheroes, and then we watched a movie. He says his favorite is Iron Man. Then, we made him an armor out of paper.

The door opens, and Marcelo walks inside...shirtless.

He's doing this on purpose!

"I need to go grab a few things."

Who works on a car without a shirt?!

"Do you need anything?"

That's like asking to get hurt!

"Julia?"

I may not be a mechanic, but I know you need shirts.

Someone tugged against my arm, "Julia?"
