Emma's POV

I sat in my room for a few minutes, and the door was locked. I had no idea what to do, my best friend was being manipulated and he is oblivious. So fucking oblivious. I couldn't help but cry. How will I even deal with this? I have known him for years... He usually isn't used to this easily... because two people probably want him dead or any one of us dead. Suddenly, I heard the door close behind me.

Flashback: Three days ago

"Have y'all met the new kid?"

It's been a couple of weeks since two of my best friends, Aiden and Norman, got together as a couple. I could feel the cool autumn air ruffle my hair as I walked downwards to my school, Gracefield Academy.

"You mean Jack and Oliver? I have heard they are hot. Maybe I can get their attraction!"

"Yeah! But Jack is mine and you can have Oliver!"

"No, I don't want that slut. I've heard that Oliver can be an asshole and sleeps around. I think you should have him since you're a little slut as well."

"HEY!"

Oliver's a slut? I guess I'll be avoiding him.

Suddenly, Ray caught up with me with a kid that had white hair and a red silver. I had never met him before... maybe he's one of the new kids that came just today? I shrugged it off. I can avoid them but definitely not Ray. He's honestly probably my best of my friends and, when I am around him, I get flustered.

"Hey Emma! Meet one of the new kids, Oliver!"

"The person who apparently sleeps around?"

I heard Oliver give a little chuckle. If I am honest, he is kinda cute, and he seems nice, so I might give him a try. Maybe he can meet us for lunch? I dunno if I can even trust him, considering the rumors.

"Don't mind them. My previous school said I was so attractive that I could apparently give girls free blowjobs. Not like they were wrong..."

I dropped my jaw while Ray rolled his eyes and stared at this new friend. Maybe we shouldn't befriend him after all. Maybe he actually is a little slut who sleeps around but doesn't-

"Don't worry, I intend to change. But it'll be tough, considering my best friend is Jack. I'll warn you, he's charming and manipulative. Don't let your friends get into his grip."

The real question is, why hasn't he left him?

"If you can somehow get to him, he's actually a good person who needs love. Maybe one of our new friends can help him. However, even though I support them, I ain't gay."

Ray just simply stood there in shock. Why was he suddenly revealing this information? I doubt that Jack is even manipulative, maybe he just seems like that and that he's probably just a massive liar. Maybe he's just a party-goer.

"Well, you can count on us. Maybe we can be friends. But if you touch her, I'll drown you into a lake."

Suddenly, Oliver went pale and appeared to start shaking. I am genuinely curious what the fuck was going on; why would he suddenly go pale at a threat at like that? Normally, people would nod in understanding and be on their way? Is Oliver hiding something?

"Don't tell him I support gays! He's actu-"

Suddenly, we were interrupted by the bell. What fantastic timing, he couldn't finish his sentence. And, what seemed weirder is that his voice was less cold and more like a scared little boy. What if Jack is abusive as well?
