Sailor

If I could sum up the last five hours in one word, that word would be awkward.

Breakfast was almost dead silent other than Mitch conversing with Liam as if nothing had happened. Niall kept his head buried in his plate, Louis barely touched his food but snuck glances at me every so often, Harry picked at his food while also avoiding any sort of eye contact from anyone, and I devoured my breakfast while keeping an eye on everyone in the event of another outburst. Extremely awkward to say the least. The car ride home wasn't any better either. I swear the only time we spoke on the way home was to check to see if anyone had to use the restroom.

The moment we'd all gotten back to our apartments, Niall scurried to his bedroom. Honestly, I knew he felt guilty for pushing me into the door and ultimately almost punching Harry but I think his reaction was even worse. He knows that I'm shit at staying upset with anyone.

Louis stuck around to bare a farewell to everyone, hugging them and making sure to remind them all that they had practice tomorrow at 3pm sharp, even though we all knew he'd be the one to show up late. Liam dipped out but not before pulling me in for a quick hug. Mitch had followed after him, giving me a fist bump and a wink.

Harry was the last to leave which I think was a shocker to both Louis and I. I planned on heading to my apartment once all the boys were gone, knowing Louis would follow me and then Niall would come later once he'd gotten over his mood. This wasn't the first time we'd all fought and I'm sure it wouldn't be the last. However, I truly was over the whole situation once I knew they didn't scare Harry away.

"Uhm, I'm gunna head out but thanks for taking a chance on me. I'll see you tomorrow at 3pm," Harry stated, earning my attention. His green eyes met mine as he gave me a small smile and wave before turning towards the door.

"Sorry again about earlier, mate. I hope there's no hard feelings. We just, uhm," Louis cleared his throat, sneaking a quick glance at me before turning his attention back to Harry, "Sailor's like family and we sometimes go overboard looking out for her," I clenched my jaw at this, trying to remind myself they had good reasoning.

"No worries," Harry looked at me fully now, his eyes holding many questions but after a few moments he looked back to Louis with a smile, "I have a younger sister so I totally get it," Lou's shoulders seemed to relax at this statement as he pulled Harry in for a hug, "Bye Sailor," He gave me a smile and wave before heading towards the door.

"Wait Harry, I'll walk you out," I pushed myself off the kitchen counter, avoiding Lou's gaze as I looped my arm with Harry's and opened the door while practically pulling him out of it. I knew this was my only opportunity of briefly escaping a conversation with Louis I wasn't ready to have.

"Avoiding an awkward conversation?" Harry asked in a hushed tone once Lou's front door was shut. I pretended to be offended by this, placing my hand on my chest for dramatic effect.

"Excuse me? I was just trying to be nice and walk you out since this is only the second time you've been here," Harry's brow raised at this, folding his arms over his chest. I let out a sigh, "Alright fine, maybe I was avoiding a conversation with Louis but that doesn't mean I wouldn't walk you out any other time," I pointed at him, watching him lift his arms by his head in surrender.

"Hey, I don't doubt that," He gave me a small smile, "But I think that you're going to have to have that conversation one way or another," I let out another sigh at this, knowing he was right. I was only putting off the inevitable.

"I hate when you guys are right," Harry laughed at this. I pulled him in for a quick hug, wishing deeply that he could just somehow wipe away my conversation with Louis altogether. I pulled away with a sad smile, "See you tomorrow, H."
