I grab Liam Dunbar, helping him up, and throw his arm over my shoulder. My brother helps by grabbing Liam's other arm. His nails dug into my shoulder, and I could feel my blood dripping down my arm.
We carry him to the boathouse and Scott pins Liam to a beam, just so I could chain him up. As I grab the chain from the floor, Liam pushes Scott over, Scott laying on his back while Liam was growling on top.
Liam snarls, putting his hand on my brother's throat, trying to choke him. Liam raises his claws, ready to swipe. I quickly swirl purple mist around my fingers and touch Liam's head, making him pass out on the floor. I raise my eyebrows, surprised it worked. Scott looks up at me, grateful I came with. I look back at Liam and jump towards him.
"Did I kill him?" I ask panicked.
Scott leans towards Liam. "No, probably not. Let's tie him to the beam before he wakes up." We each grab an arm, dragging Liam to the beam as Kira appears from the entrance. "Did you get him?"
Scott looks back. "Barely." We finish tying him up and I sit on the floor. "Myla, go help Lydia or Stiles."
I huff and stand, walking up the pathway to the house. I decide to go to the basement, only because I know that Malia's restraints were close to ripping.
The door opens, showing a creepy staircase into a dark room. I step down, each step creaking under my nice shoes. I peer around the wall, seeing Malia chained up and Stiles sitting in a chair in front of her. He looks behind him, seeing me. He says something to Malia before walking towards me.
"Do you need something?" He asks, crossing his arms.
"Um no, Scott just wanted me to check in." I look down and flatten out my red dress. For some reason, a weird wash of sadness came over me. It wasn't from Stiles, the feeling was completely from my mind.
Stiles sighs. "Are you okay?"
I look up and fake a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just going to go find Lydia." I turn to walk up the steps but Stiles grabs my arm lightly. I turn to face him and realized that this felt like the day I left for Fresno again.
"Myla. I can feel it." Stiles says concerned.
I shook off his hand. "I have to go to hell, remember? I'm in your way." A tear falls down my cheek and I turn and start to run up the steps.
"Myla stop. Myla!" Stiles yells behind me. "Myla! I didn't mean it!"
I close the door behind me and wipe my tears. I turn to my left walking to the party full of freshman.
As I weave through the people, I didn't think Liam really had this many friends. I bump into someone of darker complexion and I quickly apologize.
"Wait!" The kid yells behind me. I turn and he walks up to me. "You're.." he pauses and snaps his fingers, "you're Myla, right? You came with Liam?"
I open my mouth, not knowing what to say. I didn't want to say yes, only because I didn't want to tell him wear he was. I didn't want to say no, just to avoid later conflict at school. "Yeah, I did." I say, taking a stab.
"Sweet, I'm his friend Mason Hewitt. Do you know where he is?" Mason looks around to see if he saw his friend near me.
"Uh no. Ever since more people showed up we kind of separated. I haven't seen him in a bit. But if I find him, I'll tell him to find you." I press my lips together into a thin smile.
"Thanks. I'll see you later?"
"Yeah, maybe." I walk away from Mason Hewitt, knowing exactly where his best friend is.
I stand by the basement door, observing the party. It seems to be under control, so I don't think Lydia needs my help. A roar sounded from outside and I quickly move to outside, checking it out. I walk outside, looking for anything. I could hear footsteps pounding into the ground. Suddenly someone running through the woods caught my eye. It looked to be Liam Dunbar, and seeing Scott running through the woods to my right confirmed it.
I start to run after them, but flashing lights made me stop and look away, they were brighter than my eyes could handle. After the flashing fades, a figure stands on top of a hill, Chris Argent.
Liam runs away and I go to Scott. "You okay?"
He looks himself over. "Yeah, yeah. Go after him. I'm going to talk to Argent."
I nod and start to run in Liam's direction. I stopped, loosing him. But suddenly he started to yell in pain. I run to him, who was surrounded by sound beacons. He was hunched over, covering his ears. He yelled in pain, the sound being to much. With the quick swipe of my hand, purple mist surrounded each beacon and turned off.
He finally unplugs his ears and pants while Scott catches up behind me. He puts his hand on my back, signaling to me that he had this.
"What's happening to me?" Liam asks.
Scott pauses. "The same thing that happened to me." Scott glances back at me. "You're turning."
"Into what?" Liam asks loudly.
Scott sighs. "Into a werewolf."
Liam was on the verge of crying. "They can't know about this. My mom, my stepdad. I can't do this to them again."
I step forward. "Again?"
Liam kept looking down. "I got kicked out of school and I deserved it. The way they looked at me when they saw what I did to the car. They can't see me like this." Liam starts to cry. "Like-like..."
"Like a monster?" Scott finishes. Liam nods and Scott stands. "You're not a monster. You're a werewolf. Like me."
