************************************Ciannait waited impatiently in Njords study, Loki had been unusually pliant after the run in with Njord, she'd half expected him to make at least one escape attempt.
But instead he kept pace with her, looking everywhere, she knew from previous research she had done prior to their invasion of Asgard that though Frigga had brought Thor and Loki to Vanahiem on previous occasions but they had never visited to Njord's Palace due to Njord's and Odin's intense dislike for each other, so this was his first time here in the palace.
Personally she loved it here, for the most part, every thing was lush and green, flowers grew everywhere, she was sure there were still gardens she had yet to explore, and hundreds of fountains and waterfalls, everywhere she walked she could feel the cool spray of water on the breeze.
She delivered him directly to his rooms and removed the muzzle from his mouth.
"There are guards posted that will go with you everywhere till Njord gives the word otherwise. Your mother and brother are in the other rooms connected, Njord has gifted you a suite so you make all be together. "
"Gifted," Loki scoffed as he turned to examine the rooms, "Is that what he's calling it?"
For a brief moment, she indulged herself in feeling sorry for him, despite all of Njord's pretty words, they were all his prisoner's here now, just another weapon in his quest for power, just like her.
She turned to leave without a word, and left Loki staring at her retreating figure.
Njords study was not a place she enjoyed being, it was beautiful, all dark polished woods, a giant fireplace, unlit now in the warm summer months, book and small pieces of artwork lined the shelves around her, she scanned the shelves for any new titles, not that's she'd ever dare touch any of his copies.
No, instead she stood in the middle of the room and nervously picked at the skin around her nails as she waited for him.
The hair raised on the back of her neck, then the door swung up and Njord walked in, talking with one of his generals.
Both ignored her, passing her by, Njord immediately took his seat behind his desk, both were dressed in dark robes, Njord's far more spectacular the gold inlay on top shining in the evening light.
"As I said general, it was a spectacular achievement, a true testimony to the nine realms of the true might of Vanahiem."
Ciannait spared a glance for the general.
General Pinellas was the latest in a long line of new generals, and she doubted he would last very long either.
They had long since past thru actual competent generals, those trying to give Njord's their honest opinions, Njord either imprisoned or executed them.
She could see the sweat dripping from the top of his balding head, running all the way to his neck till it ran in a dark circle around the neck of his robes.
"You have truly won an illustrious victory, King Njord. You have taken possession of Asgard, and taken the Allmother and Odins sons hostage-"
Ciannait flinched at his words, her eyes unwilling flicked up to Njord, waiting to see which way his temper would fly.
"But I have not, dear general, as you said taken anyone hostage, my sister and her sons are here on a little familial visit."
Njords eyes glinted dangerously as he stared at the general who was now quite literally shaking in his boots, "And make sure that is the story every is spreading and nothing else, is that abundantly clear General?"
