Smut warning ⚠️🌶************************************
Loki watched Ciannait at dinner that night, it was the first time he'd actually seen her here since the feast.
She'd changed into a turquoise dress, it was the second time he'd seen her wear such a color and he briefly wondered if this might be her favorite color.
Then his thoughts drifted to what she would look like dressed in his colors, blacks, golds, and greens, it wasn't unusual for mistresses to dress in the colors of their paramours but wives rarely did unless it was to send a political message, not that she would stay his wife long enough for that.
Thor made a grumbling noise drawing Loki out of his thoughts.
"Something amiss?"
Thor picked at his plate, holding up a vegetable as if it personally offended him, Vanahiem diet seemed to favor more of a balanced approach to their meals and he knew from personal experience Thor preferred meats over vegetables.
"Several things other than the food. But we can discuss them later where there are less open ears and prying eyes. How about you tell me where you have been these past few days? Found a new playmate yet? Seeing as how Njord isn't going to let you near Ciannait."
Loki couldn't take his eyes off of Ciannait as she picked at her plate with disinterest as her sisters spoke over her.
"Something like that."
Thor cracked a smile and picked his goblet up and drained it.
"You sly serpent, tell me whose bed have you slithered into, no let me guess."
Thor scanned the room, his eyes landing on no one in particular.
"Actually I have no idea, no one here seems quiteyour type."
"Good. Your mouth is bigger than a wild bilgsnipe's and last thing they need is word getting around."
"Why afraid of your fiancée or Njord?"
Loki rolled his eyes, ignoring Thor's jab.
"What about you?"
"I wouldn't dream of looking anywhere but at Ratana. We've been spent a lot of time together. She's wonderful."
Loki followed Thor's heated gaze back to the sisters table, Ratana and Sagira were both laughing while Ciannait was leaning back in her chair, looking as if she was holding a laugh in.
Ciannait eyes snapped up to meet his and Thor's gazes, Thor quickly dropped his eyes back on to his plate, where as Loki held her gaze and slowly raised his goblet to his lips.
A faint blush rose to her cheeks as she watched him, once he finished his drink, he purposefully ran his tongue over his lower lip, and watched her blush even harder, norns this girl was easy to tease.
He turned his head for a moment when a plate clattered to the ground and when he looked back she was gone.
He pushed his chair back and was on his feet without a word.
"Where are you going?"
Thor looked at him, his eyebrows furrowed, as he watched Loki's sudden moves.
"I've just forgotten something."
He rushed out the doors, looking left and right, both corridors were empty, would she have left?
He briefly debated going back inside when at the very end of the hall way, the tiniest sliver of a teal gown stuck out where he could see it.
Loki controlled his walk, not rushing towards her.
