Chapter Two
"I'm gonna miss you, Flora! One year!" My best friend Kayley says as she hugs me, her voice muffled because she's talking into my clothes.
"I'm gonna miss you too. But, I hope I can keep texting with you. And otherwise I'll just call you at meetings. We make sure we keep in touch, okay?" I say and she nods. A tear rolls down my cheek and Kays cries too. "I miss you already."
"Me too. Have fun with the boys and use protection, okay?"
I give her 'the look', but can't hold my laugh, "Are you kidding me? I'm sixteen!"
Kayley smiles cheekily, "And how old is Megan?"
"Sixteen!" I say and she laughs. I hear a car honk and I look into the direction of the sound, seeing that Zara is waiting and she's getting impatient. "I have to go." I tell Kayley, both of our smiles fading. "I miss you already."
"I miss you more!" We hug one last time. I already said goodbye to my other friends, because they have training and other stuff right now. I get in the car and wave one more time at Kayley before the car drives away.

"We're here!" Zara announces. "I can't go with you right now, but I'll text you on your new phone, this one." She hands me a brand new iPhone 5 and I gasp. "All the things you need are on it." She says.
"Okay, so what do I have to say when they see this thing here?" I say while turning the phone in my hands.
"It's included in the prize." She explains, "You have like one week off, to have fun and stuff, get to know them, make sure they trust you. So, I'll text you, and I see you at the meeting. There, you'll hear what the further plans are. Your suitcases will be in the house when you arrive." I nod and step out of the car, hearing Zara say, "Have fun!" before I slam the door close.
"Bye Zara!" She waves at me and drives away.
I take a deep breath and smile to myself.
Today will be the start of a very good year.
The SyCo building is very big, and honestly, it makes me a bit nervous, but I need to stay calm right now. This is what I've been preparing for the past week.
I walk through the glass doors, towards the reception. The woman behind it seems to be a bit bored, so I try to be nice.
"Hello!" I say and she looks up. She smiles, honest. Probably because she has something to do.
"Hello! How may I help you?" She asks politely.
"I'm Megan Moore, I come for Simon Cowell?" I reply, more saying it as a question than stating it.
She types something in her computer and looks up again. "Congratulations! Go to the 10th floor, room 42. They're waiting." She says, still smiling.
"Thank you! Bye!" I wave at her.
"Bye!" She says as I walk towards the lift. Just as I want to press the button to summon the lift to this floor, my gaze falls at the stairs and a smirk grows onto my face.
Hmmm... Stairs...
I walk towards the stairs and look at my phone.
12:48.
