Chapter Seventeen

*One week later*

Louis' POV

The lads are behind me as we walk into the hospital. It's been almost two weeks since 'it' happened and Flora still hasn't woken up. Almost two weeks of worrying and going in and out the hospital as much as possible. Her situation has improved though, she can wake up any minute and that's why I want to be with her as much as possible; I want to be there when she wakes up.

We try to get into the room, but a doctor walks towards us and holds us back. "Sorry, sir. You can't go in there."

I frown. "Why not?"

"She has just woken up and needs rest. She can't have much people near her, except for doctors or nurses." She has just woken up.

It doesn't really hit me yet, but my face lights up and I look at the lads. "She just woke up?"

The doctor nods and my smile grows even wider, along with the smiles of the lads. Inside of me, fireworks are going off and I try my best not to burst out in loud cheering. She's still alive. She can go on with her life. "I want to see her."

"I'm sorry sir, but you can't go in there."

"Please?" I look at him with my best puppy eyes. He laughs, but shakes his head.

"No. I'm sorry. You can go in there with one by one, though. She really needs to stay calm, and I don't think she will with you lads in the room. No offence." He smiles at me and the lads. "Excuse me, I have to go and check on a patient of mine. Have a good day."

"You too." I say as he walks past us.

"Louis, get your butt into that room." Harry says and I smile.

"Thanks, lads." I open the door and walk into the room. She's sitting up straight and turns her head as the door closes. She immediately smiles and I walk towards her bed. "It's good to see your eyes open again, babe." I say as I lean onto her bed and stroke a strand of hair out of her face. A wide smile is plastered onto my face and I don't think I can get it off today.

"And it's good to see you again, Lou."

I lean in and kiss her softly. "Glad you're okay."

"How long have I been in here?"

"Two weeks.'

Her face scrunches up in a frown. "Really? Has it been that long?"

"At least you're okay now."

"Yeah." She smiles at me, though it's not really honest.

"What's wrong, love?"

"It's just that.. He seems so eager to get you guys, and me, you know. It actually scares me a bit."
