"Mommy! Look what I found it's a lizard!" Ayden shouts while running toward Ana with the reptile in his hand.

"Ew Ayden! Let him go so he can be with his family."

"No, I'm gonna keep him. He can be my pet now."

"How about we get you a new lizard from the store? This one needs to stay outside with his friends." Anastassia responds hoping he would give in and drop the lizard.

"Okay... can we go now to get my lizard?" Ayden ask as he lets the one he had in his hand go free.

"Not right now, now it's time for a bath and then bed."

Huffing lowly Ayden gives in an enters the home where Adonis was sitting on the couch watching tv. Ana's eyes meet his but she doesn't acknowledge him instead following behind Ayden up the stairs to get him ready for bed. A few weeks had passed since their fight and Ana still didn't speak two words to him during the day. The only time she would say anything to him was when they were fucking. The only reason she was still having sex with him was because she was still a woman with needs who was unfortunately still sexually attracted to her abusive husband.

"Alright, night night." Ana whispers while placing a soft kiss on Ayden's head.

"Night night." He responds before turning over and snuggling under his covers.

Ana exits the room and bumps into Adonis who was walking down the hall fully dressed. She raised her eyebrow in question but didn't bother asking where he was going. She hoped he was on his way to drive off a cliff. Rolling her eyes at him she begins to walk toward the bedroom.

"How much longer you plan on keeping this up?" He ask from behind her.

Anastassia ignores him and shuts the bedroom door, ending the conversation he was trying to have before it started. Ana sits on the edge of the bed and grabs her phone that was vibrating under the covers.

"Hello?"

"Uh, hey Ana."

"Who is this?" Ana questions not recognizing the unfamiliar voice.

"It's Kane."

Ana pauses and palms her forehead. She had completely forgotten about the guy she met while grocery shopping. It wasn't normally her style to give out her number since she was still married, but he caught her at a good time since Adonis was the last thing on her mind that day. Kane was about 6'2, brown eyes and ginger colored hair that complimented his melenated skin tone. He was the first man she had seen in awhile that had her kitty jumping just from looking at him.

"Oh, hey. What's up?" She ask as she listens to the front door open and shut close signaling that she was alone and safe to talk.

"I know it's been like a week, but I wanted to see if you and I could hang out one day. Maybe get to know one another a little better."

Ana wasn't against the idea of hanging out with Kane she just didn't know how she was going to make that happen with Adonis and his watch dogs on her ass all the time. Biting into her bottom lip nervously she lets a bunch of different scenarios play through her mind trying to decide which would be the best for getting some alone time with Kane.

"Hello Ana? You still there?"

"Yeah I'm here sorry I was just thinking about what you would wanna do."

"Just grab some lunch somewhere. We don't have to do nothing private." His deep voice responds with a chuckle.

"Alright, how about tomorrow afternoon? I'll be free for about an hour then."
