Anastassia sits quietly in the passenger seat of the all black SUV as Adonis drives down a secluded road."Why you look all nervous and shit?" Adonis ask with that annoying smirk on his face.
"Because I am... I told you the other night how I feel about this. Why can't y'all do it or just let it go?"
"You know I don't let shit go." Adonis mumbles.
He grips the steering wheel tighter and speeds up a little trying to get them to their destination quicker. Just as Anastassia was ready to get it over with so was he. A few more minutes pass and they pull up to a empty warehouse.
"It's just us here?" Ana questions.
"Yeah, I don't need any help from anybody but you tonight."
Ana sighs and follows behind him into the dimly lit warehouse. Ana could hear water droplets falling from the ceiling as the air grew damp the further she walked inside. Her eyes widen once she sees Kane tied to a chair sitting in a corner of the room.
She backs up a bit and runs into Adonis who was standing behind her. He looks down at her and shakes his head before pulling out his pistol from the hem of his jeans."Don't back out on me now. You ain't hesitate this much when it was me in the chair."
"Adonis... I really wish you would stop bringing that up."
"I won't. Now since I don't trust you with a gun anymore both of our hands will be on trigger. You know, just to make sure you don't change your mind again."
Ana wraps her hands around the gun and Adonis's strong hands cover hers making sure she aims right for Kane's head.
"Go ahead and finish what you started." He whispers into her ear.
Ana shuts her eyes and pulls the trigger. Adonis lets her hands go and keeps hold on the gun before taking a step back looking at the now dead body slumped over in the chair. A sinister smile spreads over his face as a feeling of satisfaction spreads through his body. He looks over at Ana who had her back turned to the body focusing on the exit.
"Can we go now?"
"Nah, you and I ain't done."
Ana pauses and looks over at Adonis.
"W-what do you mean?" She questions with a shaky voice.
"What I said."
Adonis steps closer to her and cups her face in his hand looking deeply into her hazel colored eyes that he had fallen in love with many moons ago. He pulls her into a hug and holds her tightly while rocking her back and forth. Ana hugs back but doesn't relax, she felt that something was wrong here.
"Adonis... I love you." She whispers as they continue to embrace.
"I know baby, I know. I love you too."
Ana tries to wiggle free from the embrace but Adonis holds on tighter.
"Remember on the ride here... I told you I have a hard time letting shit go? I-I just can't find it in me to forgive you for turning on me like that."
"After everything you've done to me and my family you can't forgive me?" Ana ask as tears fill her eyes.
"You were right the other night. You're not like me. You got a good heart and you let shit go without looking back... I'm not that nigga baby." He says as he finally releases her.
He grips her hand tightly to keep her from running toward the exit.
"Please.... Don't do this Don."
"I have to. I can't trust the woman I'm in love with anymore."
Ana begins to cry loudly as tears leave her eyes more frequently. Adonis looks at her shaking his head, upset that things had come to this.
"Shhh... stop crying. It'll be quick and don't worry about Ayden he'll be well taken care of." He speaks trying to comfort her.
Slowly he raises the gun and points it between her eyes. This time there was no one to stop him since he hadn't mentioned where the two of them were going tonight. It was just him and Anastassia. She looks at the man she loved and continues to cry, regretting every decision she had made when it came to him since the first day the two of them met. Ana couldn't understand what she had done to deserve this ending, she had always been a good girl, always kind and loving. No matter how kind of a person she was it didn't matter when you were in love with the devil.
"I love you Anastassia, I always have."
"Please!" Ana screams as she watches his cock the gun.
Adonis takes a deep breath and shakes his head. His brown eyes close and he pulls the trigger.
A few minutes pass before he opens his eyes again and looks down at the love of his life laying in a pool of her own blood. He bites back the tears and looks away before heading for the exit.
With a blank mind and empty heart he hops into his truck and drives back to his home where his son was sleeping peacefully in bed, completely unaware that he would never see his mother again.
Ana was right about one thing, karma was going to come bite him in the ass......
It just wasn't going to be today.
