You could watch the sunset through the window of the hospital room, with a beautiful view of the beach.
But the most beautiful sight was that young man who was just about to clean your wound. His eyes rested calmly on your thigh - the long fingers performing elegant movements. You soaked up every last detail of his appearance with a straw like the rest of a delicious cocktail. You could have layed there forever and watch him work.
A sharp pain made you flinch. Law giggled. "Should I have warned you?"
You shook your head with flushed cheeks. Law ran his fine hands down your thigh affectionately, which made your breathing go faster. He didn't miss it. As if nothing had happened, he sewed up your wound. But you knew the way he touched your leg was definitely not a normal doctor's procedure. It was hard for you to not let it show, even though you tried hard. "Very brave," he teased as he put his equipment away. Exhausted your head sank on the back.
"Law?" You finally asked. "What happened?" Law returned to the small stool next to your bunk and leaned his arms over his legs. "What do you want to know?" "How did you break free?" "I made Ralph Cotega think I would immortalize him. He thought he could blackmail me into holding my crew hostage. As soon as Aluca gave me a sign that the Heart Pirates were secured, the plan took its course. So much foolishness must be punished. He had my handcuffs removed and I took his house apart." You swallowed hard. "What is it all for, Law?" He avoided your gaze. "How was it with you, Y/N-ya?" You looked at the bandage on your wound. "Quite okay. I've been waiting for you to come for me like you promised. When that wasn't the case, I had to take my fate into my own hands again." Law narrowed his eyes. He disliked your words. "Don't look so sorry." You swung your legs over the backrest and tiredly rubbed your neck. "I made friends with the other slaves, made it clear to them that the world has changed and they are no longer sub to the nobles, got me keys for my handcuffs and broke out - as you do as a member of the Heart- Pirates." You smiled wrong
