The following day, Jason can't help but think about Tara in the alley. He stares at her during class, and sits far away from her at Lunch. One day she walks past him and bumps into him, the place where the bite marks were on his shoulder begin to hurt, he grabs his shoulder and runs into the bathroom quickly. He pulls his shirt up to examine the bite mark, but again nothing is there . It begins hurting again, he grunts then starts breathing heavy. He then looks into the mirror and his eyes have turned orange, He punches the mirror shattering the glass. Just then someone splashes him in his face with water and it begins to burn as he falls on the floor. His eyes turn back to normal color.
"Yo, what the fuck", the voice says.
He looks up to see Tyler standing over him with a water bottle.
"What are you doing in here?", Jason asks.
"This is a public bathroom and I needed to pee", Tyler says.
Tyler examines the mirror.
"That was insane", Tyler says.
"And that was painful", Jason replies.
"What was that", Tyler asks.
"I don't know", Jason says.
"Your eyes were orange, and you punched the mirror", Tyler replies.
"It was probably nothing", Jason says standing up.
Tyler grabs his hands. His knuckles are bruised from where he punched the glass. Slowly the bruises begin to fade.
"This is nothing?", Tyler asks.
"Well then I guess it's something", Jason replies.
"Oh really", Tyler says raising the pitch of his voice.
"Look man, I'm going through some things can you bear with me", Jason states.
Jason walks over and sits on the bathroom floor.
"What's going on J?", Tyler asks.
Tyler walks over and sits on the sink.
"The other night, I think I saw Tara, and I think she was a vampire", Jason states.
Tyler stares in amazement.
"Oh I get it", Tyler starts, "You're a dumbass".
"What?", Jason asks.
"You're trying to tell me vampires are real and that Tara is one?", Tyler asks.
"Yes, you think I'm making this up?", Jason asks, "It's the reason why I never made it to the party".
"You didn't make it to the party because you never wanted to go", Tyler replies.
"While that statement is very true, I was in fact on my way to the party, I took the alley because it's quicker and next thing I know. I'm face to face with Tara and she's trying to bite my head off", Jason says.
"And you escaped her", Tyler asks sarcastically.
"No I'm dead, you're talking to my ghost",
"I'm serious", Tyler says, "This is serious business right?".
"As I was saying, I fought her off, but she was strong, she pushed my head into the wall and bit my shoulder, but it healed in a matter of minutes", Jason states.
Tyler squints looking at Jason. He holds up one finger and begins moving back and forth between Jason's eyes.
"Follow my finger", Tyler says.
Jason smacks Tyler's hand down.
"I'm serious", Jason says, "And I can prove it but I need your help".
