I told the stars about you - Cordelia Goode

"You know I told the stars about you?", Cordelia's fingers lightly traced yours as you both lay down on the grass, looking up at the dark night sky. You chuckled at her unexpected statement.

"What did you tell them?"

You looked into Cordelia's eyes, seeing them slightly sparkle in the light from the moon. "I told them about how the freckles on your face are like constellations," she studys your facial features, your freckles in particular.

"What does that even mean?", you slightly laugh.

She looks back down at your hands and intertwines her fingers with yours. "I told them everytime that I look into your eyes. It's like looking into my own personal galaxy."

You smile slowly faded.

"I told them that you're my guide when I'm in the dark," her fingers slowly moved around your hand once again, feeling the warmth radiate from her. "I told them everytime I saw a shooting star, I wished for you."

"I got tired about asking the flowers wether you loved me or not, do you to know what the stars said back to me?", she brought her look back up to your eyes, finally, eye contact.

"W-what did they say," your voice was breaking at her confessions.

"They said: go after them," she slowly bit her lip and her chin quivered, trying to keep her tears back.

"But I told them that you were too far out of my reach, as much as I wanted you in my arms. I couldn't have you." Cordelia looks down into her lap and starts to cry.

"But you don't even know that I exist," she finishes.

You can't believe what she just confessed to you. You were completely speechless.

"I-. Cordelia, words can't even describe the love I have for you. Everytime that I see you, I think 'why can't I just be with her'. I've never had the confidence to officially ask you out, but here we are," you hook your finger under her chin, making her chocolate brown orbs look up into yours.

"Will you be my girlfriend?", you finally splurt out.

Cordelia didn't answer, she just leaned in and kissed you. A soft but meaningful kiss. The moment was perfect: late summer night breeze, the light from the moon shining down on you both and of course Cordelia.
