The day was finally here, the day where I could go back home and see my lovely dog and Myles. I missed them so much I couldn't wait to get to the airport. I just hoped Myles would be on time as he kind of has a tendency to be late.
"You ready to go?" Tony shouted
"You bet" I replied grabbing my suitcase and following him down to the end of the hall.
Nick had already put in his orders for the crew to take me to the airport which I thought was a really nice idea. I knew that I would be called back if they needed me for anything but I just wanted to forget that ever happened and spend my time which Shadow and Myles.
A few hours passed and we were finally at the airport. I walked through the doors, the smell of coffee and food filled my nose. The noise of people walking and hearing their suitcases rolling on the tiled floor filled me with happiness.
Because I was with shield I didn't need to go through security which was a bonus. Plus that just meant I could go straight to Myles. My coat pocket begin to buzz, I lifted out my phone to see a message from Myles.
"Here" the text message read, for once he was actually on time. This was turning out to be a great day.
"Thank you guys I'll see you all soon" I said as I waved goodbye to Tony, Natasha and Steve.
I took a deep breath in and made my way to the exit where I would be greeted by Myles and Shadow. She was my absolute favourite I knew she was a pet but it seemed like we had an amazing bond. I loved her more then anything.
After walking through the airport I finally came to the car park. I scanned the area looking for them but it was no use I couldn't see them. That's when I heard a dog bark my ears instantly pricked up. My heart raced as I scanned the area looking for her. Before I knew it she came bounding towards me, she was so excited. I got down on my knees and started to play around with her, giving her big hugs and kisses.
"She's missed you" Myles said hunched over trying to catch his breath.
My eyes grew wide as I looked at him I jumped up and hugged him. I couldn't believe how much I missed him and Shadow. My two favourite people.
"Come one let's get you home" Myles spoke handing me over shadows lead
"I've missed you both" I replied getting into the car.
"So how has it been so far?" Myles asked
"Honestly not going to lie it's been crazy" I smiled at him
"I'm so glad you're back for a bit though" he replied
"Yes same here" I replied while fussing Shadow from the backseat of the car.
We arrived back at my house and I had completely forgotten how it looked. The garden was tidy and clean. In fact the whole house was clean I was so surprised by it all.
Myles grabbed my case from the boot and we went inside. It felt so good to be back home. However I knew there was a talk we were meant to be having and honestly I wasn't prepared for it.
"I'll let you get settled in" Myles spoke
"Thank you but already am...but I think we should have that talk now" I spoke
"Okay" he hesitantly replied
I cleared my throat to prepare myself "so...I don't know how to tell you this but I'm kind of magical" I said
"Magical?" Myles questioned trying not to laugh
"Myles this is serious, I have powers"
"Wait...what? You have powers. When did you know this?" He asked me
"I've known it ever since I was little but I didn't want to tell anyone because I didn't know how anyone would react" I replied instantly worried that I may have already messed this up.
"Jesus that's pretty cool but what kind of powers?" He asked me
"You aren't bothered by it?" I replied shocked
"Of course not I've known you for years"
"I don't know what to say" I replied to him
"I do...tell me your powers?" He asked me
"Well there a few. shapeshifting, reading people's minds and teleportation all that cool stuff" I replied to him
"I never knew I'd be falling in love with someone who has powers" Myles excited spoke
"Wait....what did you just say?" I looked at him shocked.
"Okay so I love you and I was going to ask if you would like to go on a date with me sometime?" Myles asked me
"Yes of course" I replied happily as I threw my arms around him.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing to think he loved me not only for me but the fact that I had powers to it was kind of amazing.
My father always told me that no matter what anyone tells you love conquers all and I strongly believed in that. I just wanted to forget all about work and Loki while I was here.
