Over and Over

It's a week before I go back home for a few days so I can get some rest. I think everyone could see how deflated I was. Trying to tackle the god of mischief was probably that hardest job I ever had to do. But hopefully these few days would give me time to regain my energy and strength.

"Ready to give it one last shot before you go back?" Tony asked me
"Yes" I replied walking into the room.

Loki was already sitting there in his chair, I walked over to my seat and forcefully placed my notes down.

"Morning Loki. So we are going to start off with a small run down. You were adopted, Odin found you and took you in. You had your brother Thor who looked out for you. Your mother Frigga looked out for you the most, she taught you magic then you betrayed them and destroyed New York"
"Yes, but I didn't exactly betray them. I was free, ready to rule. It was just when the Avengers got a hold of me. That's when it all went to hell" he snarled
"If you loved your mother as much as you say you did you wouldn't have killed her" I hissed twirling my pen between my fingers.
"Who put me there!" Loki screamed slamming his hand on the table "I could have protected her" he softly spoke
"Loki you are in prisoned here why do you do this over and over?" I asked "I'm really trying to understand you" I added
"That's the thing you never will understand me" he laughed

I felt like I was stuck in a time loop, I never felt like I was getting anywhere. No matter how hard I tried to make him see it was no use. I only had one more option and it was either going to go one way or another.

"That's it!" I shouted as I stood up out my chair and walked over to Loki. I took my hand and placed it on his shoulder. I closed my eyes and concentrated as hard as I could.

"Loki let me in" I softly said to myself

I wish I had come up with this the first time I dived into his memories. The people he had seen and the feelings he had, would you believe the god of mischief has feelings.

I thought he was a cold hearted man but what I was feeling was the complete opposite. He felt abandoned, the black sheep and always in someone else's shadow. I kept seeing a fairly large man in his memories and Loki had made a deal about something, but it was as if he wouldn't allow me in. I knew it had something to do with what happened in New York.

"Get out of my head" Loki hissed
"Not until you tell me what happened with that man!" I spat back
"What man?" Loki hissed back
"You know who! What's he's name?" I pushed
"I'm not telling you" he laughed at me
"Loki I am warning you! Don't make me hurt you" I squeezed his shoulder a little harder pushing my finger down on his muscle.
"Ow..okay okay his name is Thanos" he replied

I took my hand off of his shoulder and opened my eyes. It took all my energy to get inside his head and now I was the one suffering. I fell to the floor in heap of exhaustion feeling my head pounding.

"Are you alight?" Loki asked
"I'll be okay" I replied barely able to keep my eyes open.

I tried my best to keep my eyes open but before I knew it the room went dark everything after that was just a blank memory.

A few hours passed and I slowly started to wake up. My body felt horrible, heavy and weak. Once I came round and saw that Loki was still in the room with me. I was kind of surprised that he stayed with me till I woke up.

"You're up" Loki smiled while leaning against the door
"Are you in my head? Because if you are GET OUT!" I shouted
"No...I'm not in your head. You collapsed on the floor after being inside my head for too long" Loki replied walking over towards me.
"Why are you here?" I asked
"Because I couldn't just leave you on the floor"
"So you're telling me that the god of mischief cares about people now" I said sarcastically
"Really sarcasm? How about a thank you"
"You want me to thank you! Are you insane?" I questioned
"Well...do I have to answer that?" Loki replied with a cheeky grin.

Of course that was kind of a stupid question to ask. At least I finally got somewhere and that I could take this to Fury and the others. I wonder what this Thanos person has to do with what happened in New York.

"Loki?" I asked
"Yes"
"Who is Thanos?" I asked hesitantly
"I'd rather not answer that" he replied before the guards came in to take him back to his cell as our time was up.

There was something strange about him that I couldn't quite put my finger on. On one hand he is the god of mischief and has a really bad reputation for causing all kinds of things. But on the other he seems to be gentle and kind.

"Why am I thinking like that?" I said to myself. I think my powers have sent me a little loopy. I sat in the corner of the room with my head resting on my knees.

If there was one thing keeping me strong it was that I would be going back home soon for a few days. I knew I had to tell Myles everything about who I am. I just hoped he would still like me for that person. That's the thought that scared me the most but I had to know otherwise sooner or later he would find out, We all know how lying goes.

"Hey kiddo you okay?" Steve replied standing by the door
"I'm okay, just feeling a little tired" I replied
"Get some rest, I'll let the others know"
"Thank you" I replied as he walked away.

Never in my life did I think I'd be here with the Avengers, helping them with Loki and being apart of the team (kinda). I just couldn't wait to get back home.
