Lights. Screaming. Singing. What happened before that? What happened after that? What's happening now?
Smiling. Now. Before. Then.
Why?
Trying to smile at the thought of Harry giving his number to those girls. Prude not belonging in their definition. Dress the length of a regular top, heels the height of the empire state building.
What does Harry tell me? Don't be so shy. What does he tell them? His number.
They're lying, but it still hurts. Do I care? Maybe. What can I do? Nothing. What do I do? Smile.
What happened after that? I remember being called up to the stage. Never in a million years would I have thought it would be me. Doesn't Harry like blondes?
I don't remember walking down the aisle that lead to the stage. I don't even remember walking up the steps. Harry's standing in front of me. Singing. Perfectly. Green eyes glimmering in the light. Making me weak to my knees.
Where am I now?
Standing. Standing in front of my seat. People are leaving.
It's over. Goodnight.
"Emma!" Hal said, tearing me away from my crowded thoughts.
"Are you ready to go?"
Go? Already?
"Yeah." I mumbled.
"That was the best concert in my entire life! And you!" she exclaimed, "Do you know how many people would have killed to be in the position you were in?"
I smiled and shook my head no, with my lips closed together.
"What? I thought their tears were gonna flood the place. Oh, and Harry could not keep his eyes off of you!"
"Did you notice Liam?" I said trying to change the subject away from me. Maybe in fear that I might blush or fear that I might wake up.
"What about Liam?" she asked.
There is no way she didn't notice how Liam would look at her. His smile. His blush. That hint of admiration.
"He looked like a puppy in love every time he looked in your direction. And just that one direction." I said and laughed at the stupidity of that pun.
She laughed at it too. "Whatever!"
We followed the crowd to the exit. There was pushing and shoving. It was making me feel claustrophobic. A lot of looks were glanced my way. Envious or amusement. All thinking "That's the girl Harry picked".
Some probably thinking "Why her?"
Others thinking "So lucky!"
I looked around, observing my surroundings. I hated how close everybody was pushing. Or how crowded these aisles were. At this rate we're never going to make it out.
I look behind me to the right and that's where I find another door. My automatic assumption is: Another Exit.
"Hal." I said while nudging her. "I think I found another way out."
She looked at where my eyes pointed.
"Are we allowed to go that way?"
I shrugged and laughed. "It's worth a shot."
"You are way too adventurous, Emma."
"I know." I laughed.
"Please don't tell me we're going to have to climb down the roof to get out of here."
