The Steves all follow Void into one of the end rooms, one that's empty and large enough for what he wants to do.

"Void, once you do whatever it is that you want to do, you're going back to bed." Nightmare informs, however Void turns to him for another reason.

"I'm going to need plenty of pistons, redstone and iron blocks," he says. "I'm also going to need an end crystal, some obsidian and some ender eyes. Also, a shovel or sword."

"That's a weird collection of materials," Rainbow states, and Nightmare instructs Elemental, Blue and Yellow where all the blocks and ores would be found.

"What are the End stuff for?" Time questions.

"To make an Ender Cube," Void replies, as all the equipment is thrown into a pile. "Right. Rainbow, you know about machines, I need two platforms with at least five blocks in between them."

"Got it," Rainbow took charge, getting Purple and Red to help him. Void then turns to a nearby crafting table, using the eyes of Ender, obsidian and end crystal to make himself a single Ender Cube.

"What in the living Overworld is that?" Ghost questions, staring at the strange block.

"It's an Ender Cube," Void informs. "I created them in hopes of making a two-way portal to the End, but they instead came in handy to get to Earth."

"But portals use, at minimum, ten blocks," Illusion states. "Why've you only crafted one?"

"You'll see. I'm going to need a piston here, facing skyward." Nightmare places down a piston where Void told, and the Ender Cube is placed on top. Void then picks up the shovel and a remaining block of obsidian, using the two as if a hammer and chisel, breaking apart one side of the Cube.

The Steves that aren't building watch Void in curiosity as he works, completely hollowing out the block. Some had wandered off, exploring more of Nightmare's house. Faceless returns at one point, disguised as Red.

"Nightmare, what's that flashy yellow block in the next room?"

"Flashy yellow block?" Nightmare questions, before his fear spikes. "Stay away from that! I don't know what it is, but I know it's dangerous."

"How dangerous?"

"I tried to figure out what it was, multiple times. It poisoned me, one time, and it lasted for a lot longer than a potion's effects would. Another time it struck me with lightning."

"The block did?" Elemental questions.

"Yes, the block did. Please, Steves, stay away from it."

Void's about halfway through hollowing the Ender Cube, when Rainbow pipes up.

"Did you want any redstone connecting with that piston, Void?"

"Yes, I do," Void replies, not taking his eyes off his work. "And I need repeaters, I've just realised. The power should start at the first platform, go into the second, and then come over here."

"Understood, got it," Rainbow replies, as Nightmare tells him where the equipment is again.

"Oh, I'll also need someone to write a note,"

"A note?" Time asks. "What kind of note?"

"A letter. To Sabre."

"I can write it, I'm good with words. What did it need to have?"

Nightmare retrieves a piece of paper and a quill, and Time Steve writes down Void's words. The letter isn't too long, and only proves enough information to which Sabre would be informed and not confused about the events that were going down.

"Okay. I'll now need that potion, and a pane of glass..." Void mumbles, admiring the completely hollowed out block. "Nightmare, you've got a brewing stand, right?"

"Void, I had a pre-crafted End Crystal. Yes, I've got a brewing stand," Nightmare replies with a laugh.

"Right. Positive and Negative, I'll need you two." The three Steves follow Nightmare into the kitchen, where together they brew the potion needed to connect with Earth. Back in the room with the machine, Void pours the potion into the cube, before attaching a pane of glass to the front.

"What's the next step?" Elemental questions.

"Illusion and Rainbow, we'll need both of you to be in the machine." Void replies, confusing one of the two Steves in question.

"Me?" Illusion questions. "Why me?"

"You are a creation of Galaxy Steve," Void answers, ignoring the pang in his heart. "Galaxy had the ability of traveling through dimensions, therefore you have that same ability, if not just a fraction of it. Just enough to do what I want to do. I'll need you in the first part of the machine, Rainbow in the second. Time, give Rainbow that letter."

The Steves obey, before questioning exactly what Void's idea is.

"Illusion. I need you to think of Sabre, in as much detail as you can. Rainbow, your task is to simply read that letter in your hands, word for word. Think you both can do that?"

"Yeah, I can do that," Rainbow answers, before beginning to skim through the letter.

"Yeah, sure. I can get into contact with a person from a completely other world." Illusion replies.

"You don't need to contact him," Void tells him. "That's what the potion and the Cube will do. I just need you to direct the two in the right direction. You just need to picture Sabre as clearly as you can."

"Alright, then. I think I can do that."

"So are you both ready?" Void asks, and both Steves confirm. "Everyone stand back, Nightmare turn the machine on at one."

Nightmare steps forward, as Void begins to count down from three. On one, the lever is flicked and the machine is turned on, and lightning fills the room. Illusion winces as his energy is taken, and Rainbow's voice as he reads the letter aloud is mostly drowned out by the sound of lightning making contact with the machines.

Void watches the Ender Cube, elevated by the activated piston, and exclaims happily when the words of the letter appear behind the glass. "It's working!" He says in a sing-song kind of voice. As Rainbow finishes reading the letter, and as the last words appear on the screen, Void calls out, "Illusion, send it!"

With a powerful burst of his energy, Illusion sees the letter being given to Sabre, and as the words vanish from the screen, Nightmare powers off the machine.
