"Nightmare! That was fast!"

The king promptly ignores the Steve who called his name, walking through the house and into one of the end rooms. Rainbow Steve follows.

"Put me down..." Void grumbles, as Nightmare does so, onto a bed. Void tries to sit up, however pain corses through his entire body, causing him to nearly cry out.

"Lie back down, Void, now," Nightmare instructs, and the Steve listens. "Rainbow, I need you to go make a health potion. All the needed equipment should be in the kitchen."

"Alright," Rainbow says, before running off.

"Void, you're going to need to rest, okay? Alex has too much power."

"You don't think I know that?" Void grunts, feeling every inch of his strength and energy leaving him. "I just fought the bitch. I don't know how she... she gained so much energy from- from the last time we fought."

"Anger, you know how it powers us Steves," Nightmare tells, resting a hand on Void's forehead. "Look, once Rainbow brings that potion, I want you to rest. Close your eyes and allow yourself to slip out of consciousness. The rest of the Steves and I will try and think of a plan."

"Good... luck with that. Those Steves aren't the- the wisest." Though exhausted, Void still manages a smirk. Nightmare shakes his head, just as Rainbow runs in with a potion of a hot pink liquid. He passes it over, and Nightmare asks Void if he can take it. He tries to sit up, however finds that he can now barely move his arm. "Gosh, Alex- was right..."

"To quote you, Void, you just fought the bitch," Nightmare informs, moving closer to the bed and gently propping Void up with his arm. "You're not weak, just in a weakened state."

"And look how pathetic I am," Void shakes his head gently, before allowing Nightmare to pour the potion into his mouth. When the bottle is about half empty, Nightmare lays Void back down, placing the potion on the nightstand.

"Rest up, okay Void?" Rainbow tells, as Nightmare leads him out of the room.

"Will do..."

"Everyone, gather 'round. We need to discuss this situation." The Steves all follow Nightmare's instruction, situating themselves in a circle on the floor.

"What's there to discuss?" Purple Steve questions. "Alex is too powerful for us to take on, and we're in hiding."

"Here's an idea," Elemental states, thick tone of sass in his voice. "Why don't we all stop being a bunch of wimps, team up against her, and bash her skull in?"

"Yeah, pretty sure she'd do that to us a lot quicker than we'd be able to," Negative retorts.

"What if I cast an illusion on her?" Illusion suggests. "Make her see an army ten times the size of what we actually are, and while she's seeing that inflict actual pain on her and destroy her?"

"Okay, but what if she notices that you're doing that and just does it back?" Yellow Steve replies. "She got into Sabre's head, and you're willingly going to put yourself into her head? That's just asking for trouble."

"Speaking of asking," Time pipes up. "What if we ask for help?"

"From who?" Dark asks. "We're pretty much the only Steves in several days flying from the Town, and Lucas and Sabre, well we have no way of contacting them!"

"What about Steves from other dimensions?" Positive asks. "Are there Nether Steves, or End Steves? Or, what about that other Steve-like being?"

"First of all, how dare you mention that creature," Green Steve states. "Secondly, there are no much things as 'End Steves' or 'Nether Steves'."

"How do you know? Have you ever been to either dimension?"

"No, but it's a possibility."

"What about Sabre's world? Isn't that meant to be really populated?"

"Yeah, Sabre said there's like billions of people in his world." Rainbow informs.

"Oh, so we're meant to ask for help from the person who half of our kind was killed by? Or, or the person who ran away?"

"Lucas was getting help!"

"Enough!" Nightmare calls, silencing the room. "Firstly, we're not going to get anywhere if all we're doing is bickering with each other. We're all on the same team, we need to act like it. Secondly, I've brought into consideration everyone's ideas. I believe that the best course of action for us all, is to ask for help. We cannot continue to live our days in the Nightmare Dimension; it is not fully stable the way the Overworld is, if something were to happen to me, this whole world will fall apart."

"Then we'll just keep you safe, no biggie," Blue Steve states.

"Age can deteriorate a Steve the same as destroying one by unnatural causes. And besides. The weaker this world gets, the harder it would be to keep people out."

"So it's better to get rid of Alex sooner rather than later?"

"Precisely."

"Okay, but Nightmare, how are we going to get into contact with anyone from Sabre's world?"

"Rainbow?" The Steves all turn, noticing Void standing with a curious look on his face.

"Void, you need to be resting," Nightmare states, however Void pays no attention.

"Do people in Sabre's world have ways of long-distance communication?"

"Um... yeah I think so," Rainbow mumbles, beginning to file through his memories of the conversations he and his friend had about Earth. "There was... social media, where lots of people could talk with each other... there's letters... there's um... electric... e-letters? E, email! Email."

"How does email work?"

"Well, they use a computer, which is the same way they can access our world. People would write a letter, and through the... I dunno, like the powers of the computer, it sends the letter through to the other person's computer and they get it."

The Steves around Rainbow all give him and each other strange, confused looks, while Void stares at him in contemplation.

"So we're going to need a computer," he mumbles, before turning to Nightmare. "I'm going to need some resources."
