Clay rushed home so he didn't have to see George in the driveway. He pulled in and ran into the house. He rushed up to his room and shut the door.

He had a few minutes until George got home so he decided to get some fresh air. He walked out into the treehouse and sat down.

He put his face into his knees. He sat there in silence with his thoughts. All he could think about was George.

Clay didn't even realize how long he'd been there. He looked up to see George looking at him. Clays eyes widened as he got up and started walking into his room.

Before he got to the window he felt a hand grab his wrist and turned him around. He was met with George's eyes.

"No your not gonna do this anymore clay. I was there for you when your mom died. I stood by you the whole time, and I don't deserve to be ignored. I don't know if I did anything or what your problem is but you need to start talking to me" George said almost shouting.

Clay looked away, he was right. He needed to tell him but he just couldn't. George scoffed and started walking back inside.

"I love you George" clay blurted. George turned around and gave him a shocked look.

"I knew I loved you since the day you jumped into my arms at that baseball game. But I just figured it all out now, and I know you don't like me back and I just didn't want to ruin our friendship-" clay was interrupted by George's lips smashing into his.

Clay melted into his touch. George pulled away but there lips were still inches apart.

"I love you too clay" he whispered.

Clays lips tugged into a smile. He grabbed George by the waist and lifted him up. He spun him around just like he did at the baseball game.

George giggled as he looked up to clay. He finally had him. Finally after years of being in love he didn't have to push his feelings down anymore.

This was the best thing to happen to clay. He knew his mom was looking down on him and smiling. She would be so proud that he found love.
