It was nice spring day and I was just moving into the town of Salem.
I was sitting on the front porch as the movers brought our furniture into the house.
I sat there listening to Asking Alexandria when a girl my age walks past our house and yells "Emo!" At me. Hearing her remark, I get up and walk towards the side gate that leads to our back yard.
I go through the gate and lay down in the grass. I stare up at the large blue sky.                Sooner or later my parents find me and start yelling. "Alice, what are you doing?! Your supposed to be helping the movers!" They hiss at me.
"Sorry, I thought that was their job..." I mumble as I get up and put my phone in my back pocket.
I exit the backyard and start walking towards the truck.

I  grab one of the boxes labeled 'Alice's Room' and take it inside. I set it down on my new bedroom floor and go back out to help with the rest of the move until everything has made it into to house and the movers have left. "Alice go unpack you room!" My mom yells at me. I don't oblige and do as I'm told. I open the first box with my pocket knife and take out the contents. "Alice get out here and grab everything you need to build your room up!" My dad yells. Meaning get your ass out here and grab a screwdriver and other tools so you can build your bed and dresser and crap. I run out to the living room and grab everything I'd need. I get back to my room and start building my bed and my nightstand. After 2 hours of working on that I start building my dresser and desk. 2 more hours pass and it's 5:00 p.m. I take my pocket knife back out and open all of my boxes. "Alice get out here and make dinner!" My lazy ass parents yell at me. "I would if we had food Mom!" I yell back in response. My dad gets pissed and runs back to my room. "Your mother said get your ass out there!" He shoves me out of my room and gives me $300 dollars. "Go to the grocery store and buy us some food!" He shoves me out of the house and locks the door. "Shit." I whisper to myself. "I don't have the car keys!" I yell through the door and my dad slips them through the mail slot. "Great, thanks." I say in an irritated voice. I pick the keys up off the ground and I walk to the Volkswagen my mom owns. I put the money in my pocket and get in the car. I plug 'Grocery Store' int to the GPS and it takes me to the nearest one. I start driving there and fit into the smallest spot when I get there. I exit the car and lock it, and make sure the money is still in my pocket -which it is- and I walk into the store. I grab everything we need and spend $200 dollars. I take the bags and walk all the way back to the car. I unlock it and gently set the bags down in the trunk of the car. I then get in the car and go back home. I grab the money from the center console put in my back pocket. I take the keys from the ignition, then I grab all the bags, and somehow manage to lock the car. I walk up to the front door and yell. "I have the food! Can I come in and go back to unpacking my room?!" My dad looks through the eyehole and reluctantly lets me in. I set all the food down on the counter and start unpacking that. I make them Spaghetti and Garlic bread and give them the proportions they normally receive. Half and half. "Alice, go unpack your room now!" My mom yells at me with a full mouth. "Yes 'mam." I reply with, it's better not to get into trouble with them. I walk back to my room and go back to what I was doing. Around 10:00 p.m. My parents decide that they get to go to bed but, I need to stay up and finish unpacking. I do as told and I finish unpacking at 1:00 a.m. I turn the lights out and plop down on my bed falling asleep within a matter of seconds. My mom wakes me up at 6:00 so I can make them breakfast. I enjoy the weekend the rest of the weekend while I can -mainly doing everything I'm told so they don't beat me- Everything else was pretty normal, they kept yelling me to make food and do other crap. Then they mention the thing I dreaded most......School. "Alice get everything for tomorrow ready, you're going to school!" My mom yelled at me, and at that moment I swear my heart stopped.
