I sit in the passenger seat of Alex's truck. He turned the radio on a little while ago but I had my music so all was well. Alex looks to me every now and then, and then goes back to watching the road. Eventually he turns the radio off and taps my shoulder. I take my left headphone out and look to him. "Yeah?" I say. "Could You take your headphones out so I can listen with you?" He pleads. I don't oblige and take out my headphones. Hollywood Undead starts playing but, I don't feel like listening to them so, I put on Millenia by Crown The Empire. Alex starts singing with my phone and I sit there shocked. He sounds exactly like Andrew. He grows louder and louder and eventually drowns out my phone.
"Didn't seem to care at all when you watched me go, I know your life is just a dream we were only 17 but you're the only love I know."
He continues singing and I just watch him. After the song finishes he stops and I pause my playlist before it can go to the next song. "You know Crown The Empire?!" I say still shocked. Alex begins chuckling. "Yeah, I know Crown The Empire." He replies. We stop in front my house. "Okay, we're here." I look at him puzzled. "How did you know where I lived?" I ask. "I live three houses down from you. I can drive you to and from school everyday if you'd like." Alex says. "It's okay, I can walk. Thanks for the ride." I say as I grab my phone and get out of the truck. I'm about to open the door when my dad walks out and begins slapping me. "Get in the house now!" He yells. 'Must be drunk' I think to myself. As he continues hitting me. The rest of the night my parents yell at me and abuse me, and finally it goes over my limit. I break out sobbing and I run to my room and bolt the door. "I can't take it anymore they always do this. It's not right!" I yell at myself.
