Love Me Like You Do

Chapter Two~{Luz's POV}

The next morning I awoke in Amity's warm arms, the light of the almost open window sensitive to my eyes. I groaned loudly. Amity laughed a little bit, waking up as well.

"What's wrong?" She chuckled softly.

"School is what's wrong here."

She laughed again, a bright cheery laugh. "I thought you wanted to go, you were so determined to get in that the first time I met you, you snuck in as Willow's abomination."

I smiled at the memory of me disguising myself as an abomination. I was very determined to get into Hexside at that point, Eda made it sound so cool.

"Why don't you wanna go?" Amity asked curiously. I looked into her golden eyes and blushed a little bit. Last night she was the nervous one!

"I wanted to stay...with you." I blushed even more, my cheeks felt so hot!

She continued to stare, a smile playing  at her lips. "Yeah?" 

I pretended to pull at my collar and wipe sweat off my forehead, "Whew! It's a bit hot in here don't you think?"

She laughed.

"We need to finish this project though," Amity said, pointing to where the project was left on the floor from last night. "We can stay from school for the first half, the project will be a great excuse. Besides, the project isn't due till that period."

Excuse? Since when did Amity need an excuse from staying from school? She never did that. Wow, she must be doing everything that she can to be with me. I'm flattered.

"Wow Ms. Blight, I'm impressed!" I said, sounding a bit sarcastic. "Skipping school, what a bad girl!" Wait, did I just say that? I stared at her with wide eyes. "I'm so-" But she cut me off by saying "Only for the best reasons."

I pulled out from her arms and kissed her forehead, jumping away from the bed to gather my things from last night. I caught a glimpse of her blazing face. It was real confident of me to do that, I knew we both liked each other but we hadn't asked each other out yet either. 

"You're so cute when you blush, did you know that?" That made her blush even darker. 

I grabbed my night bag and slung it over my shoulders.

"Come on Ami!" I said, using a new nickname.

"Since when did you start calling me Ami?" She asked, getting out of bed to get ready for the day.

"Since now." I said, turning away to let her get dressed. 

When she was done I looped my arm through hers and started heading out.

"Where are we going?"

"The owl house!"

"Oh, please tell me that, that little stupid tube bird owl, or whatever it is-"

"Hooty will always be there Ami!" I laughed, last time she was at my house she beat the shit out of Hooty. He could be annoying sometimes though, sometimes i even think of doing the same thing.

"Annoying little.." She murmured while I laughed at her anger. 

{Later}

When the familiar scenes of the owl house came into view I started to run with Amity, hand in hand, towards the door.

Amity could keep up with my human legs with no problem, she was actually kinda faster than I was...Once we reached the front door, Hooty, without a doubt, was there, waiting to greet some "new friends".
