Jeongyeon's room, Polaris co-op
"All these works are tiring me out....!" Jeongyeon growled, before hovering all over her desk. After the trip to Gasadalur, her boss has been pestering her with works, even doubling them up as there was not much time left, and the deadline of Jeongyeon's rental is the same month as her work in Faroe Islands ends, that is the last day of December where the New Year's Eve concert take places. Her initial job was to design and decorate the venue that it is conducive for every resident here. "But why am I deciding on which artists to sing now?" She questioned to her laptop, where she was dealing with 3D interior designing and a list of names with tree map at the side. Jeongyeon deflated, her chin was barely lifting her head up to face her works while she has become a spineless human, she has been cooped up in her room lately. "Gotta finish it soon...! It's almost July!" She grumbled on her own before diving into the sea of piling works.
Knock! Knock! Jeongyeon forcefully dragged her eyes away from the blinding screen, it was rare for someone to disturb her at the moment since they all know she has been busy throughout the weeks after their trip together. "Oh, it's you." Jeongyeon uttered, rubbing her eyes without taking off her anti-blue light spectacles. She was combing her messy hair as she felt embarrassed to see her landlady while showing her untidiness. "It's the first time I saw your room in such mess." Nayeon was amused, her fingers on the door trying to pry and peek into Jeongyeon's room after catching a glimpse of the unkempt state of it. "Are you gonna fine me for it? I will make sure to clean it up afterwards." Jeongyeon had her first smile after stressing on the pile of works on her table. She offered Nayeon to enter her room but it seems like Nayeon only came to check up on her. "I'm not going to fine you," She shifted her position, where the strands of hair beside her temples moved with her. "Instead I want to bring you to somewhere next week." Jeongyeon lifted her eyebrows, but then squeezing them with utter annoyed feelings. "No way! My work isn't done yet!" Jeongyeon raised her voice slightly which came to Nayeon's dismay.
"And I have been going out with you for the past weeks! In between my works too!" Jeongyeon was almost on her breaking point, she was walking in between the line while tip-toeing, a little push and then she will be over the edge soon. Nayeon was observing her for the past weeks, she indeed is dedicated to her job and always pressure herself to perfect it even though there were not any flaws. She knew Jeongyeon may stress out in any moment, so she wanted to take her out in between her works so she can relax herself, and now she knew how scary Jeongyeon's dedication is. "But you can't work things out by ramming yourself to work it out, right?" Nayeon worded it clear and straightforward, it took Jeongyeon's frustration down in seconds. "Ugh, you might be right, but..." She sighed, messaging her temples as a sudden pain coursed through. "And that's the reason why you should relax at the mean time." Nayeon insisted, not letting Jeongyeon to close the door before she can finish her words. "But the due date is closing in and there's still a lot to do...." Nayeon stared at Jeongyeon, subtly pouting as the woman in front of her is still stubborn about finishing her work. She grabbed Jeongyeon by her shoulders, slightly shaking her. "It's gonna be fine! You just need something to help you figure out a way! Or maybe a distraction from your work so you can retrieve your focus back again!" Nayeon encouraged Jeongyeon with her best, she wanted to see the best of her since Jeongyeon will leave Faroe Islands once her work is completed.
Jeongyeon ruffled her hair, she avoided that pair of eyes that were full of passion, they were not like that a few months ago. Did something shift in her? She's being more daring lately. She knows that Nayeon is still waiting for her response, and she was embarrassed to answer because she is now the one receiving help from someone that she was supposed to help. It has been months since Jihyo entrusted her into saving Nayeon from her illness, however the progress was behind the schedule. Though she has started to open up more to the tenants and even outside of the house, there were times where she distanced from everyone, disappearing for hours or a few days without telling anyone. Jeongyeon reached out to Jihyo because of Nayeon's abnormal behaviour, and she told her it was Nayeon's second personality trying to take over her original personality, she had to hide or else it will cause unwanted chaos. She was worried as to where Nayeon went to, and a lot of things on the other hand, till the point that she neglected her work for some time. "Okay then, I will take your silence as a yes." Jeongyeon's mind popped.
