Chapter 13

Polaris co-op, Faroe Island

"Hurry up! The concert is starting in a few hours!" Jihyo shrieked, she was speed washing the dishes with Mina aiding her, their arms working out too much as if they have six arms. "We are! So stop yelling!" Chaeyoung hastily wiping the dining table with her body hovered over it, if she was pushed unintentionally she would have fall over right away. Tzuyu was not talking much, but her palms sweated a lot while placing back the utensils and plates, having needed to keep up with Jihyo and Mina's pace surely was taking a toll on her, she was hesitant to lose some tension. "I've just called Ludvik, he said he will be here in thirty minutes! We don't have much time to dress up!" Dahyun sounded worried, most of them were still in home-styled clothings, zombie-look alike and not mentally prepared for the concert, they have overslept and missed the original planning for this special day. They were supposed to wake up at three in the afternoon, finish their first meal of the day at four, dress and style up at five, then get out of the house after six.

But they overslept, they poured in a lot of hard work in the preparations of the new year concert which concludes not sleeping for days, having a full bag of emptied coffee cans and take-out boxes, every year they put in the same amount of effort however, this year's concert meant a lot to them. "Girls!" Sana's voice penetrated the ceiling. "I've got your clothes ready in your room with Momo, get to changing ASAP!!" The people one floor below her were able to listen her footsteps dancing vigorously, it seemed like she was rushing to her room. "We tried to pick out the best combination from like, thousands of clothing you all have!" A growl from Momo as she hustled her way through the mountain of clothes her housemates have, walking on needles while holding glass bottles of cosmetics products to specific rooms while trying to remember what are their favourite go-to makeup. Not a single soul in the house are able to collect their breaths, as the couple who used to plan things for them were not present, the girls were much more tensed than before.

"Wait, do we have the tickets!?" Dahyun who was pacing around the living room came into a halt, the dead bolt in her head came loose, somehow. "Wasn't it Mina who was in charge of buying the tickets for us?" Jihyo stripped off the rubber gloves that were Nayeon's and threw it beside the water basin, turning her head to check on Mina's response, while the latter nodded. "It was on the table count- ehhh!?" She pointed to where the tickets were, only to find out a counter top without a speck of dust. Mina waddled to the supposedly ticket-storing-table, rummaging the drawers and behind the decors desperately, stopped, then repeated it, then realised. "Did they got blown away because the window wasn't tightly shut yesterday?" The outcome earned gasps from every person in the living room, and they flocked to where she was, started to move around the table while looking around. "Oh no!" Tzuyu squealed, she caught the girls' attention immediately, there were blood veins in their eyes. "I see it! On the lawn not far away!" Then, they fought to get through the door first, at first they almost burst through it, until there seem to be someone pulling them in.

"Where, are you girls going!? You all haven't changed yet...!" Sana did her best to grab a piece each of their home clothing, she was getting worried about them and came down to check on them, only to see them rushing out without proper clothes and makeup, she thought they have finally lost their minds. "S-sana if you don't let goooooo-uuwaaaaahh!!" They fell with a 'poff' generating from the snowy ground with Jihyo facing front first, it started to snow a few weeks ago and they had not been shovelling chunks of snow off their car, so they asked Ludvik to come over to fetch them. "Good grief! It's freezing!" Chaeyoung screeched through her teeth, one side of her arm was covered in white and somehow, she started to sniffle. "Gaaah! My shirt's all wet!" Dahyun had her elbow on someone's back and used it to push herself up, wiping all the snow and ice off her shirt. "Did you just pushed me!?" Tzuyu tilted to glare, her face turning red with all those pale snow all over her face and her vocal cords screaming for help, it was actually quite a scene to watch. Later, they heard some gurgling beneath Tzuyu, struggling to move the long body of Tzuyu's away. "Oh my god!"
