"Hi." Penelope greeted sadly as she approached JJ's desk, where she and Lily were sitting, talking lowly.

"Hey." They both greeted in the same tone.

"I still can't wrap my head around it." The technical analyst said, as she reached forward to grab Lily's hand in reassuring squeeze.

"I know." JJ nodded, glancing quickly to Lily, as she sat on her desk, her hand over her stomach. "I, uh, I took a change of clothes to the precinct for him."

"Did you see him?" Penelope asked.

"No." She shook her head. "I left it with Emily. She said he was finally getting a little sleep. Now part of me is glad I didn't see him locked up. I don't think I could take it."

"Oh, our sweet, sweet boy wonder."

"He's strong." Lily whispered, more to herself than to the other women around her. "He's gonna be ok. We got a new swab from him and we're running it now."

"Well, what happened to the comprehensive tox panel they ran in Mexico?" Penelope frowned.

"With the red tape between jurisdictions, who knows if or when we'll get those results?"

"He should be here." The blonde woman in colorful dress that, for the first time, didn't match her mood, said. "We need him. His mom needs him. His mother. How's his mother?"

"Well, she cried at first." Lily looked down, remembering how hard it had been to both of them when she appeared in Spencer's apartment a few days prior to tell Diana what had happened to her son. "Said it was all her fault he was even down there. But later she kept asking when Spencer would be home."

"Well, maybe it's a blessing she can forget." Rossi said, as he too approached the small group.

"What's our next step?" Penelope asked.

"Well, getting the kid home on bail pending trial." The older Agent answered.

"Ok. That's a good baby step. I can focus on that." Penelope nodded vehemently.

"And I'm ready, willing, and able to post that bail no matter how high they set it."

Lily glanced at Rossi and gave him a sad, small smile. The man just nodded, as if confirming what he had just said and pressed a kiss to her forehead, as Penelope voiced Lily's thoughts.

"I love you so hard."

JJ giggled lightly and Lily smiled, but it soon vanished when she felt her work-phone ringing in her back pocket.

"Well, crime never sleeps." She sighed, as she jumped off of JJ's desk. "We got a case."

After calling in Luke, Walker and Tara in the conference room and checking to see if Emily was free to at least have a brief on the case and noticing that she wasn't, Lily went over to her office to grab the files she needed before distributing them to the team as she picked up the remote to start presenting the case.

"Prentiss won't be joining us." Rossi announced, as he sat down at the round-table. "Neither will Lily. They're on Reid duty for the time being."

Lily nodded, when JJ glanced at her. They loved each other, so seeing the other suffering over Spencer and being able to do nothing hurt them a lot. At least, having both, Emily and Lily, working together to try and pull Spencer out of prison put her heart at ease. They'd make it. They always did.
