The party

I walked in the house after a long day at the bakery.

"Nana where's ma?" I said looking in the fridge for a bottle of water.

"She went to the store to get something for dinner," She said sitting on the couch. "Alona let me talk to you for a second." She said patting the seat.

"What's up?" I sat down next to her. She grabbed my hand.

"I heard a particular boy had been paying attention to you at school."

"What are you talking about nana?"

"I'm talking about Dontae Franklin. Is it true he dropped you off at the bakery yesterday and don't lie to me Nieta.(granddaughter)"

"He did. But it was just a ride I missed my bus."

"We'll dont let him get to close dontae use to be a good boy but he's changed so much. Carolina (his grandma) would role over in her grave if she saw the things that boy was up to."

" I promise nana it's nothing." She leaned over and hugged me.

"Ok I trust you sweetie," she put her hand on my face "I also heard there some big party after the game at your school you should go your always at the bakery working your butt off."

I chuckled and held her hand that was still on my face."you just be hearing everything abuelita and I want to go but I'm not sure if ma will let me."

"You just let me worry about that and you worry about that party. " "thank you nana."

I slung my bag on my shoulder and went upstairs to start my homework.

We won the game. Dontae had scored the buzzer beater that won us the game in a double over time. I threw my pom Pom in my bag and walked over to him. Everybody was hugging on him and patting the back of his head.

"Hey!" I said kinda yelling over the large crowd that ran on the court after the shot. He was talking to another cheerleader from the other team.

"Hole' on ight." I gave him this stank look as he continued talking to her. "Yea so slide thru." "Most def." she said eyeballing me as she walked away.

I crossed my arms over my chest and started to walk away he caught me by my waist. "Don't act like that ma I was just inviting her to the party." I rolled my eyes and adjusted the strap on my bag.

"You still gone spend the night wit me?" "If your not to busy with her." He chuckled

"I better see that fine ass tonight." I shrugged then walked off to find Tianna. She was driving tonight. She was gone drop me off at my house so I could get dressed.

When I found her she was leaning on the car with Richards tongue down her throat. I rolled my eyes opened her car door and slammed it shut.

"Damn Nae yo hatin ass." She said. "Where's Khya and J?" I asked.

"I don't know I ain't no damn nanny. I'll see you tonight bae."

He pecked her lips and walked off. She got in the car as I called J she said they caught a ride a little earlier durning the game. "Lets be out."
